"He understands that it is what we need to keep us safe and to prevent a massacre of humans. He is ready and will do what is needed, even after seeing the atrocities that could be wreaked in the war."
He watched as she toweled herself dry, basically inspecting her naked body as a new lover would. He closed the water and stepped out of the shower as well, using a towel to dry himself as well.
"But first you have to give the messenger a message while I hide away as the new guitarist who knows nothing."
He followed her and got dressed, he did not follow her immediately when she slipped out, but he did follow, staying just within earshot, wanting to hear what message she would send his wayward brother.
Walking out she stood before the wolves in full shift holding his associates in place that managed to be smart back down and not fight them. She saw who the messenger was. No wonder Omen's anger boiled. His twin yet due to an hours difference the youngest brother.
Xavier, I had always thought better of you.
Shaking her head she continued.
Tell your brother we will fight and protect and end his tyranny with or without the council being wake. And I will not be returned to his side ever again. To you I sayseereason and join your twin here with us and survive.
He stood at the corner of the hallway, his new senses quite acute enough to hear what she said, it sounded like she was talking to family and that she knew that her words would only upset his brother further and make him act impulsive. He smiled to himself and chewed on a small piece of red liquirice.
Once the wolves led then shoved them out Oman stormed off and deep in the depths of their home his rage and pain could be heard. She on the other hand was livid but restrained.
That worthless vermin... He sent Omen's twin the truly youngest of you brothers to deliver his message.
He stepped from his spot as Omen stormed past, he could feel and smell the anger and pain rolling from the burly wolf. As Eden moved over, he looked at her, nodding slightly, "You did well. I can see that the years I was gone brought a hardness to you."
He popped a piece of licorice into his mouth and slowly chewed on it, absently giving the rest of the string to the cubs as they approached him, they scampered away, quite happy with their loot.
"Tell me this will work Eden. Tell me that we will not be ripped apart again."
Omen and his twin had been the youngest of the three brothers of her beloved. The eldest being the one standing against them and the younger of the twins corrupted to his side. Her heart ached for Omen he and his twin had always been so close till they were all turned as expected by their bloodline. Their sister left mortal to continue children for the family line.
"And then somebody will also have to answer for a past of pain and suffering caused unjustly to an innocent."
He brushed through his damp hair and walked towards the red door, turning to look at her as he moved backward toward the door, "Want to join me? I am curious about something."
He chuckled, "Oh I am quite aware that they are long gone, the curse of being mortal."
A smile and he motioned, "Let's go find one then, I already fed, so I know that I can handle it. The night is still young and the sunrise a few hours away."
He looked at the woman who stopped and moved closer, he could smell the rich blood in her veins, hear the steady beating heart. She had not been fed on recently, he knew that. Eden motioned the woman closer to him, he took her hand and brought her arm closer, his fangs sinking easily into her flesh, the warm blood flooding his mouth. He drank it down, feeling the nourishing aspect as it slid down his throat, his tongue licked over the skin, the wounds closing and he released her arm. Giving her a smile as she looked at him with curiosity, clearly puzzled at the short feeding, "That was all I needed to know, thank you Alexandru."
She nodded and still puzzled, walked away. He turned towards Eden, a smile on his lips, "Seems like Alex now fully understands what it is about. As long as I keep the beast quiet, he is willing to accept that this is now his life. Seems like you have cured him beloved."
He intertwined his fingers with her own and walked with her into the room, closing the door behind them as he started to look around, memories coming unbidden as he looked at the collection.
