A mortal in the Band (Closed)

He pushed the partitioning door open and met Omen's glance, seeing the light smirk and knew that they knew. Not that it mattered, it was nothing they wanted to hide and with highly sensitive senses all around them, it would have been something very difficult to hide anyway.

"Hope you enjoyed your breakfast." Luna shot over her shoulder as she pulled up into the place reserved for the bus. He chuckled and shook his head, "Keep your ears to yourself."

She just laughed and patting Omen on the cheek.

I told you that you never should have let Marianna slip away.

After dropping that little bombshell about Omens personal life in front of his brother she moved over to Luna and smirked.

That's rich coming from you half a deer snack before the show.

He pushed the control lever to open the door and stepped outside, taking in the evening air, looking around as the rest of the group gets out of their vehicles. He sauntered over to one of the vans and helped to unload it.

They were unloaded and set up in moments as she stood there looking around. She always loved this grand old theater they were performing in. Looking at the highly impressive nod to the ancient grandeur of music halls from when they were mortal with little windows into the different time periods and styles this place had lived through.

He had his guitar, setting up the sound settings to suit him, and ran through a few riffs to get his fingers loosened up and ready.

"Well Alex, this is what you wanted to experience. Can't say that I am not a man of my word."

He looked out over the empty hall and smiled, it was almost time.

She looked over wanting to see their combined reactions before the show started.

Beautiful here isn't it?

He nodded, unplugging the guitar and shifting it to his back

"Yes, it is. It brings back memories and awe as well. I think that Alex is in for a treat on this tour of ours."

Oh yes. So many historical venues and some new ones as well.

She smiled twirling around the stage.

He watched her with a smile, there were many reasons he loved her and this joy she found in her surroundings was one of them. He walked closer to her and wrapped his arms around her, giving her a gentle kiss, looking into her eyes.

"I love you."

I love you too.

She smiled as they all began to walk back to the dressing room area to relax and wait for the show to start.

He followed the group into the dressing rooms, setting his guitar down in the corner and brushing his fingers through his hair, he fished a cellphone from the pocket in his jacket and activated the camera, he had a look around and just like the stories about vampires having no reflection, the fact that they did not show up on photos was wrong as well. He slid an arm around Eden's waist, pulling her close, and shot a surprise selfie of the two of them.

She smiled with a chuckle.

Teach him well Alex he will have to get used to fans doing that as well especially female fans.

"Oh? Are you saying that I am attractive?"

He winked at her and looked at the photo

"This is much more convenient than the old cameras."

Yes and alot easier.

She smiled and curling close to kiss his cheek reached her hand to make the phone take another picture as she kissed him.

He kissed her, hearing the soft click from the phone as she took another photo, and smiled at her, resting an arm around her as she pushed close. He looked at the rest of the group, feeling for the first time like things would be fine.

Luna looked over.

He may have people in the crowds but they never do anything . We will get a few gigs done before anyone tries to reveal themselves.

"I am more worried about the humans in the crowds, I know that normally we get along, but he might decide to stir up something."

He put the phone back into his pocket and gently stroked Eden's arm

"And the thirst could be a problem if other fledglings are out there."

He isn't that crazy to do something that the council would hold offense with.

She shrugged as Luna added.

Luckily... no more just shock troops or over muscled blood dolls or such.

"Sounds like you had a lot of fun times during my tour of absence."

Omen grunted, "She'll never tell you, but there were some callous times when you were gone. That woman of yours is a genius in marketing though."

Suddenly ice-cold dagger eyes shot a glare at Omen in silent warning to shut the hell up. With unseen prayers his words did not trigger any memories in Alex or old stories he might have read.

"Oh? Is that so?"

Omen kept a poker face, but ended lamely with: "We had some good record deals thanks to her."

Alex seemed to remember some rumors, but with nothing that could be placed as definite proof, they were just rumors. But the record deals were a fact and Dancer had made quite a killing in the charts.

"Well, the tour should hopefully help to gain us even more popular since you now have a proper guitarist."

He grinned at Luna who glared at him and then broke into a smile as well.

The kidnapping needed to be buried. Forgotten and lost to time. He did not need to know or remember. The council had stepped in and since it could be shown to them he had been hospitable there was no reason to move further than releasing her and accepting a council employed tracer monitoring and following any time his inner sanctum of people or he himself neared her for a few yrs.

All the mortal world would have known was her going missing for a couple of weeks and a few tours being rescheduled.

Since it was reported that Eden had taken a break and nobody ever reported otherwise, that is what Alex knew. He listened as the noise levels outside started to increase, clearly the hall was busy filling with people.

"Sounds like there's a band performing before us. Think I'm going to go watch them if there's nothing we really have to discuss?"

Luna nodded sensing Alex as dominant.

Sure kid.

Once he was gone she growled at the other Teo.

We do not need a mental puzzle with a neon sign on it saying solve me for Lucien while we need him helping Alex play so reign it in you two.

He had noticed that something was going on, but it didn't bother him too much. He was just happy to have this moment and from what Lucien had shown him, there were so many more things to explore.

He stood in the shadows just out of view from the crowd and watched the group set up and introduce themself before they started to play. They were not bad, not bad at all.
