A Question to Ponder

Here I'll help you......

btw, *lol* you are obviously right. You have all of the answers.....

See if you can find one for this question.....

How much wood would a wood chuck........

Ahh nevermind me.

The Howells had a lot of vanity and were constantly at threat for kidnapping, so they would travel with a complete ensemble fit for the elite wealthy just in case. They had their bodyguards and other attendants pack the objects onto the ship because they would never do such menial work. The bodyguards and attendants were not able to board the ship because "lovey" was looking for some private time with "thurston". Voila, ship wreck- tons of money and clothes.

Some people...

...can't see the obvious truth even when it's right in front of them. <shakes head sadly> ~Sigh~

The professor built a Star Trek style replicator out of coconuts and sold it to the Howels in exchange for a promise of $1000000 when they got off the island.

I mean, people, it was in Episode 23! Sheesh!

LMAO! This thread is one of the funniest ones I've seen all day! You ppl have my imagination beat all to hell.... I love it!

Maybe the Howells had been rich, but lost all there assets except for a suitcase of money and tons of clothes so they were actually now homeless bums that had to carry it with them everywhere.

Hell, maybe they even caused the shipwreck because they wanted to be stranded on a desert island so as not to have to go back and face their family and friends....

I have a better question...there was an episode where Mary Ann and Ginger traded psyches, each thought they were the other. Thinking she was Ginger, Mary Anne cut all her dresses short. Then they changed back, all Ginger had was miniskirts. But in the next episodes her dresses were long again.

The Howell's and the girls were, I hypothesize, going to get back on their plane for the mainland directly after their trip. The professor, skipper, and Gilligan were all from Hawaii.

who is lavender ... really?

G.R. & Weird Harold, great great theories, but obviously wrong. :)

Keep em coming. After awhile I will divulge the true theory behind the Howell's mysterious clothing.

And damn, has this been a fun read.

I'm begining to wonder about lavender. She obviously knows the "true" story about what happened on that little island. Exactly how does she know what happened? My guess is that lavender is really the daughter of Gilligan and Mary Ann. She could be a daughter of the Professor and Ginger. The Howells were too old to have any more children, and everyone knows the Capitan didn't get laid for all those years.... that's why he was always so grouchy.

My best guess is that lavender knows the "true" story because she is the daughter of the Professor and Ginger. I kinda wonder if Gilligan wasn't "swinging on a different vine" (so to speak). After all why do you think the Capitan always called him "little buddy".

If it was just a 3 hour tour, why did the Howell's have enough clothing to wear everyday on the island for the duration of the show?
This was my first thought - unlike the others, the Howells boarded the boat from a round-the-world cruise that had just docked at the same port. They thought a three hour tour would be a quaint way to readjust to life on land. And since they boarded straight from the cruise ship, they brought their luggage with them.
