sweet Cookie love the lighthouse thx you for such aa beautiful threadnice to just come here and sit and relax.

A recent 7.0 magnitude earthquake near the small town of Oljeto in northeastern Arizona displaced a large amount of rock from the upper portion of one of the monoliths in Monument Valley exposing an ancient lighthouse which bears a striking resemblance to Split Rock Lighthouse north of Duluth Minnesota.
The lighthouse was first seen by native American Ray Cycle who spent a hard day out on the desert collecting aluminum cans which he loaded on the back of his mule. It had been an unusually successful quest that day and he had found so many cans that his ass was dragging and they were unable to make it back to town so he spent the night under the stars near Monument Valley.

As the sun set he became aware of an eerie glow high over the horizon and, tired as he was, he got his ass up and rode in the direction of the light to investigate. What he discovered was this ancient lighthouse with the light still aglow which amazed him and he immediately got his ass in gear and went to town to let the holyman, Swaggart, know he had been first to see the light. He found Swaggard at the teepee of the Chief’s daughter, Pretty Hotstuff, and told him of his find but Swaggart said that the maiden Tammy Faye had told him of seeing the light while riding her trusty horse thru the desert with her partners in search of the mystical “Fountain of Perpetual Donations”. It had so startled both her and her horse that she had been thrown and landed face first in the sand. That area of the desert would forever be known as the Painted Desert.

Archeologist now tell us that the light was constructed by a prehistoric tribe of cannibals who, it appears, had found a spring at the top of the monolith, fed by a vast underground deposit of Neatsfoot oil. As baseball gloves had not yet been invented, the find was of little use to them until a carelessly discarded peacepipe ignited the oil and it was found to burn with a very hot flame quite suitable for bar-b-queing severed body parts from their deceased, male victims which could be held over the flame on straightened coathangers. The lens was fashioned from volcanic glass in an effort to get the light from the fire to extend to a distance adequate to let their enemies know that the party was on and they could be the next contributor to the feast.

The practice continued until an inter-tribal conference, dominated by Big Chief Slick Willie, passed Equal Opportunity Regulations when the opposition, lead by Little Chief Gabby Newt, lost by one vote when Little Chief got his toe nail snagged on his tonsils. These rules required that both sexes contibute equally to all rituals and, since the maidens had no body parts suitable for impaling on coathangers, the practice was abandoned.

Investigators can only assume that the last guy out put the cat out, but due to an old tribal myth, did not pee on the fire thus it remained burning until the present time. Archeologist William Gates is quoted as saying "With 95 windows, the lighthouse is truly an ancient icon".
