Happy Friday, everyone. I know we'll all be busy this weekend so I thought I should send out holiday greetings today. I hope everyone has a safe and very happy holiday weekend. My oldest will be home, so it should be a loud, fun time at my house. I love to have both my girls together. You never realize how important those times are until one moves out. So getting them both together makes it even more to cherish.

Hope everyone's holiday weekend was terrific!! Mine was memorable to say the least! Spent family time with my mom's side of the family... all her 3 sisters were here plus Grandparents/parents. Doesn't happen often enough now days so it's very special!!

Went over to Paige's house late last night... helped her little one braid the mane on her new make-over pony.... we've even made and appointment for her to give me a make-over with her new makeup set.. should prove to be quite interesting!!

Paige totally surprised me last night!! She and her mom, along with the whole family bought me a Christmas present... I truly wasn't expecting anything this year nor did I really want anything... Just family and friends time! Anyway... a couple months ago, they were givin me a hard time when I said I'd never owned a vacuum in my entire life... *tada*... they got me one! I almost cried! Now that's something I'll remember forever!

I'm gonna go over today to see what kind of menu they'd like over the next week while I'm off... she's set up for surgery tomorrow before noon... the least I can do is to help around the house as much as I can!! Don't forget an extra prayer for her please!!

BTW... Bre is doing much better since she came home! I think she just needs to be surrounded by family and friends!! Keep good thoughts for her and also my house guests that they may find a place to rent ASAP!!! Would be lovely if they could have a place to start out the new year in!!!

A blonde buys a plane ticket to Miami. (It's a coach Ticket). When she gets on the plane she sits in first class.

The steward who checks tickets says, "I'm so sorry, this is a coach ticket and your sitting in 1st class."

"I can do What-eva I want, I'm a blonde." Well I'll get the pilot.

The pilot comes and whispers in the blondes ear and she leaves. The steward looks amazed and says," What did you say?"

The pilot simply says," I told her 1st class wasn't going to Miami, just coach was!!!"

Hope everyone has had some good times over the last week!! For short but sweet explanation of mine, see Blurt thread on page 502...

Lisa's surgery went wonderfully yesterday!! She came home today around 3pm or so... I went over around 9 to watch a movie with her and her sister. She showed me her chest wound... it looked really good and the Dr was so pleased that he didn't bind it or cover it up!! Looks to me like it'll heal quite nicely!! She's decided that the chemo better not make her gain any weight since it's gonna take her hair!! I told her that we'd get on an exercise plan together to make sure it wouldn't!! I've even given it serious thought to possibly shaving my head when her hair comes out... for support!! (Plus, I could find out just how grey my hair actually is without that awkward grow out stage!*giggle*) My next plan is to try to help her quit smokin so she won't get cancer anywhere else!! Was even thinking about asking a friend of mine at the company rec center if I could have special permission to bring her there when she's feeling good enough to try doing some water exercise together... good for the both of us!! Anyway.... thanks again for keeping her in your prayers!!

BTW... Bre is doing great, too!! Being around family and friends seems to have her back up and running with a smile! Just gotta keep her from overdoing it!

If ya don't get to read my blurt.... my guests are still here. It looks as though it's gonna be at least another week... pray I keep what little sanity left that I have!!
