If I may interject her dear Whspr. A woman who gives her love out is like a sower planting an eternal seed that has to die first only to be reborn into the oneness of a true love. You would not have the love you do now if you had not planted first and lost!

when you stop opening your heart, sharing all you are and all you can be, then something in you dies, the walls built up around the heart become strong and distorted, no longer will you be able to ever achieve that place which you still dream of, as you no longer are worthy, you've lost that ability to again trust and truly love,
so unless you chance the pain it can bring, your loss will always be greater then the protection your walls bring..
Fortitude is gained only by loving its the only true escape for any of us

There is a dance of two souls that may not come along everyday.
I hope if I meet my dance partner I have enough sense to realize
who he is.....

Yanno...sometimes I think of all the pieces of my heart I've given out over the years....and I feel the holes left in that heart....I get sad....but then upon thinking it over more closely....I know that I have so much more than someone who never loves.

You might understand that, my friend...but I'm sure not many will.
Only us romanitics....the ones who stand back up and face love again...

After twice being hurt here on the boards from a partner I would think that I would not believe in it. and to tell the truth I find it very hard to trust these days. But I will continue being optimistic about romance as the alternative is too give in to the hurt.

One day I hope to find that special someone that will return my gift of love and romance, as I know my heart is full with it.

Both my hubby and I are very romantic,we often send each other love emails and ecards and we buy each other cards and presents out of the blue.

I know all about the armor plate, just talking about it last nite with a precious goddesss. There's this crack in it that I can never seem to seal. Beneath it lies an old wound, that keeps getting torn open again. Maybe it will heal one day...

I love that, Arden. Another romantic (my favorite) heard from.

And it's true. If you close off your heart, you're living in an empty shell. Does the pain of failed attempts at love hurt less than living an empty existance??? I think it does. First you tried and the search is all part of the process. Second you learned something. Hiding with your head in the sand teaches nothing but to re-inforce the fear of rejection.
