A Silly Old Romantic...

Soron said:
When it comes to life,
Live like there is no tomorrow.
Love like you won't get hurt,
Work like you don't need the money
And dance like no one is watching.

I always love this quote, but I also like to add:
"Speak like no one's judging"
"read like there is no test" (for the students out there)

FANTASIES

You have seen me
Open up my mind to you
And reveal the world of my fantasies,
When what I wish
Is to open up my heart to you
And reveal the depth of my loving.
Oh I could show to you in words
The sex stories of my mind
In which we two
Dance semi-naked in semi-darkness
To the rhythm of our tuminessence,
And the throbbing,
Quickening of our desire
Builds to ecstacy.
But now sweetest sister,
I beg you only this.
If I shall entreat you
To take me into your woman's embrace,
I will ask for more than breasts and thighs.
I will ask you for that sweet feminine heart
That beats beneath those breasts.
Hold me tightly in your arms.
Wrap me in your love, securely.
Let me feel your carresses,
And give me words of tenderness.
Whisper my name,
And call me "Darling"!
Then I shall give you
All that you desire.

A TAPESTRY

i have said to you
that
i would weave a tapestry of words for you
on the loom of my mind
to enwrap you within,
and now i see
that you have enwrapped me
within your heart
oh sweet woman
you take my breath away;
your gentle love for me
has created its very own tapestry
in which we
naked lovers
hold each other close,
woven together so securely
that we can never unravel!

Evening Romantics!!

Hi Romantics

May you all have the greatest evening you can Imagine, may your dreams be fulfilled

I tather enjoy this idea of tapestry woven of words. It reminds me of a post I recently made, and the idea that words not only tell a story, paint a picture, but also are intricately connected to all others in the discourse.

Well I only want one...!!!! But I have to get to know them to determine which. My heart is not won easily.

My heart can only belong to one.

I wish I knew where it came from. I found it printed with no author's name. I like the addition as well. As Kool Mo Dee said it, 'Knowledge is king'. :rose:

Thank you...I think that there are many other things that we can add to our list. There are many aspects of our lives where we are rushing for the wrong goal, and missing life (the true goal) along the way.

Two Lives

Rushing.
Blurs of colours.
Noises all around.
Crowds of people pressing in.
No time to stop.
Must rush to get to Friday,
For then I am home free.
But wait Monday follow shortly after thee.
Lunch time is almost over
Food will have to wait
To Do list still is full
No time to waste.

Living.
Colous of the season
Greet and welcome me
Sounds of laughing children,
Happy people set me free.
All around People sharing the joy.
Pause to smell a flower.
The week would pass by too quickly
And soon woud be lost,
But instead I savour each passing second.
Lunch was a celebration of taste,
Even if it was just a sandwich.
Works To Do list is full,
But Life's List is fuller still.
In the end Life's list will matter more,
Work's To Do can be finished by another,
But only I can fulfull my Life's goals.

This was inspired by a comic I carry in my folder. It shows a blur of colour with the woman running, she slows, the flowers come into focus. She stops & "wow". Holding groceries she says "will you look at that...". In the lasst frame, she says "...and I always thought it was life that was rushing past me" and the picture is of her standing in a park with flowers and a butterfly flying beside her.

For my best friend...

THE ROSE
(Bette Midler)

Some say love, it is a river
That drowns the tender reed.
Some say love, it is a razor
That leaves your soul to bleed.
Some say love, it is a hunger,
An endless aching need.
I say love, it is a flower,
And you it's only seed.

It's the heart, afraid of breaking,
That never learns to dance.
It's the dream, afraid of waking,
That never takes a chance.
It's the one who won't be taken,
Who cannot seem to give.
And the soul, afraid of dyin',
That never learns to live.

When the night has been too lonely,
And the road has been too long,
And you think that love is only
For the lucky and the strong,
Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snows,
Lies the seed, that with the sun's love,
In the spring becomes the rose.

*raises hand*

Yet another hopeless romantic here. Saw all the poetry and figured I'd contribute.

"taste of kisses"

i still remember
the taste of butterfly kisses
indirect comments about destiny

my hands seem to belong here
wrapped gently around you

so quiet - so calm
serenity is taking on new meaning now
here with you ... or am i?

Beautiful and hectic, pretty lady. And, something we've both been longing for for a year now.

Flashback... one year ago this week I was in CA, and I remember talking with you every night on the phone. I think that was when we realized how hard it was to be apart. After that week, we started planning your trip here last January. Glad we did!

I WILL
Album : White Album 1968
(Lennon / McCartney)
The Beatles

Who knows how long I've loved you
You know I love you still
Will I wait a lonely life time
If you want me to I will

For if I ever saw you
I didn't catch your name
But it never really mattered
I will always feel the same

Love you forever and forever
Love you with all my heart
Love you whenever we're together
Love you when we're apart

And when at last I find you
Your song will fill the air
Sing it loud so I can hear you
Make it easy to be near you
For the things you do endear you to me
And you know I will
I will
Ooo, la

Let's see, I'm here, and you're there...that isn't going to happen tonight, except in spirit. Monday night will be a different story though.

Have I told you lately? :rose:
