Rock me baby, honey, rock me all night long

Good Morning Romantics....

Getting to spend some extended time with my Love is a very special time for me. Everything not being passion and fire....but living with the day to day things that will be with us (except for the kids) for the rest of our lives.

Knowing when a touch and gentle carress mean more than all the words I could speak. Learning and seeing each others rough spots beyond the polished surface. Living and loving in the real world, beyond a weekend get-together, further than the ideal seen in each others mind from the distance that seperated us.

I cherish this time. Goddess...I Love You!!! :rose:

Saturday, my love....you will wear that ring.

Good Morning Romantics....

Hope and Pray that this day finds you well and if not with that someone special...that special someone in your hearts and thoughts. Peace.

For my Goddess...

Our Life Together

When I first saw your face,
I knew I was in love.
Then I felt your embrace,
and flew like the white dove.

When you whispered in my ear,
"I love you so much"
I held you so near,
that I'll never forget your touch.

When you and me became we,
the happiness shined so bright.
People thought "How can this be?"
but we both knew it was right.

We share a life of happiness and gold,
that no one else can see.
Our love for each other so vibrant and bold,
in each others arms is where we'll always be.

The Magic Of Love

Love is like magic
And it always will be.
For love still remains
Life's sweet mystery!!
Love works in ways
That are wondrous and strange
And there's nothing in life
That love cannot change!!
Love can transform
The most commonplace
Into beauty and splendor
And sweetness and grace.
Love is unselfish,
Understanding and kind,
For it sees with it's heart
And not with it's mind!!
Love is the answer
That everyone seeks....
Love is the language,
That every heart speaks.
Love can't be bought,
It is priceless and free,
Love, like pure magic,
Is life's sweet mystery!!

RAGLAN ROAD
(Van Morrision)

On Raglan Road on an Autumn Day,
I saw her first and knew
That her dark hair would weave a snare
That I may one day rue.
I saw the danger, yet I walked
Along the enchanted way
And I said let grief be a falling leaf
At the dawning of the day.

On Grafton Street in November,
We tripped lightly along the ledge
Of a deep ravine where can be seen
The worst of passions pledged.
The Queen of Hearts still baking tarts
And I not making hay,
Well I loved too much; by such and such
Is happiness thrown away.

I gave her the gifts of the mind.
I gave her the secret sign
That's known to all the artists who have
Known true Gods of Sound and Time.
With word and tint I did not stint.
I gave her reams of poems to say
With her own dark hair and her own name there
Like the clouds over fields of May.

On a quiet street where old ghosts meet,
I see her walking now away from me,
So hurriedly. My reason must allow,
For I have wooed, not as I should
A creature made of clay.
When the angel woos the clay, he'll lose
His wings at the dawn of the day.

A bell is no bell til you ring it.
A song is no song til you sing it.
And love in your heart
Wasn't put there to stay,
Love isn't love til you give it away

Thank you for stopping by and sharing a bit of your soul with us. Continue to post here and enjoy the romance. It is true that many messages are meant for a certain reader, but many more are meant for the romantic in all of us.

Let me know if you need anymore questions to add to the ones already in your mind, and don't disappear into oblivion, let us know where you are continuing your decision pondering.

Hi,

In case you were wondering how it turned out... especially Satin Kitty, 69forever, appleapps and midwesternyankee, who had comments and truly helpful advice.

My husband and I are together and are working on those very things you spoke of.

I also wanted to share an interesting thread that is somewhat related to this one, in the Playground, called something like what makes your heart weep fire. About those wonderful moments that move you in a heartbreakingly beautiful way.

Anyway, thank you again for all your kindness.

I am glad things are working out and that you have decided on a path to travel. Just remember my and other's best wishes travel with you.

This is a true story that happened in Japan.

In order to renovate the house, someone in Japan tore open the
wall. Japanese houses normally have a hollow space between the
wooden walls. When tearing down the walls, he found that there was
a lizard stuck there because a nail from outside was hammered
into one of its feet. He saw this, felt pity, and at the same time
he was curious. When he checked the nail, turns out, it was nailed
10 years ago when the house was first built.

What happened?

The lizard had survived in such a position for 10 years! In a dark
wall partition for 10 years without moving, it is impossible and
mind boggling. Then he wondered how this lizard survived for 10
years without moving a single step--since its foot was nailed!

So he stopped his work and observed the lizard, what it had been
doing, and what and how it has been eating. Later, not knowing
from where it came, appeared another lizard, with food in its
mouth.

Ahh! He was stunned and at the same time, touched deeply. Another
lizard had been feeding the stuck one for the past 10 years...

Such love, such a beautiful love! Such love happened with this
tiny creature...

What can love do?

It can do wonders!

Love can do miracles!

Just think about it; one lizard had been feeding the other one
untiringly for 10 long years, without giving up hope on its
partner.

If a small creature like a lizard can love like this... just
imagine how we can love if we try.

Oman, that is an incredibly beautiful story and truely gives one pause to think and reflect. I know your love for Jenny has no bounds. As everyday my love for Goddess grows, I ache more for the day when we are finally together forever.

Through thick and through thin, forever and a day, I will love you Goddess!

Good Evening Romantics....

In My Life
Dave Matthews

There are places I remember
all my life though some have changed
some forever not for better
some have gone
and some remain
all these places have thier moments
with lovers and friends I still can recall
some are dead and some are living
in my life I've loved them all.

But of all these friends and lovers
there is no one compares with you
and these memories lose there meaning
when I think of love as something new
though I know I'll never lose affection
for people and things that went before
and I know I'll often stop and think about them
in my life I love you more.

Though I know I'll never lose affection
for people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
in my life I love you more
in my life I love you more.

Have I Told You Lately?

Good morning Romantics, and happy Birthday! I hope that everyone has a great day, especially you 69!

Thank You, my friend...

It is indeed bittersweet. Celebrating the love I have found and the friends I have made, while my dear sweet Goddess struggles with family crisis. And me unable to be there. *sighs* R/L sucks sometimes.

Would I trade the heartache of not being at her side for what we have? Never. We know that our hearts and souls are together. Bound by fate and the gentle smile of lessons learned. :rose:

To find a thread like this, among all the other ones. Very nice.

I am and always was Hopeless Romantic

Reading some of the posts, brought tears to my eyes. I too am trying to re kindle that romance in my marriage, bring some spark back to it. I agree with you Whspr, I wear my heart on my sleeve and sometimes your heart does get broken, We need to protect it especially in here, in LIT,

Thank you so much for starting this thread, I am open to any ideas that any of you have to bring romance back, and to bring that spark back that we all once had when we first met our s/o

I am happy you found the Romantics Thread.

Everyday life...work, kids, finances and all the resulting hassles of dealing with them take their toll on a romance/relationship.

As in anything...it is seeing that there is something lacking and deciding to do something about it, that leads to change.

I believe that as the wild passion of an early part of a romance settles into everyday life, we need to make a plan to bring the romance back again. Make the time to spend a weekend alone.
Call him/her for a lunch. Send flowers for no reason other than to say "I love you". Hold hands again as you walk. Put on some nice jazz or your favorite music. Light candles. Make love somewhere you normally don't.

Sometimes it's the little things that get forgotten.

Hope this helps give you some pause for thought and direction.

Good luck. :rose:

Thank you 69forever. I see all the romantic souls are alive and well. I hope my friends Goddessofsoul, Fiestyred, Satinkitty are all doing well.. I'm sure I've missed a few as well.

Good Morning Romantics...

A little something for my dear, sweet Love....

Goddess, darling....your call this morning brought a smile to my face and a song to my heart. I love you with my heart and soul Baby...forever and a day!!!

Let Me Serenade You
Three Dog Night

(J. Finley)

I will serenade you, all along the way
I will serenade you, anyway you say
Take you to the country, I'll take you to the shore
Show you to my garden, I know you'll make it grow.

If you let me serenade you
You know that's what you come for,
So that I will serenade you

And when the walls begin to fall
Can't hold back the joy
That love will conquer all.

Every moment, every day,
If you want to hold me, I will stay
Let me serenade you, I will serenade you
If you want to hold me, I will stay

 :rose:
