A Song for Everything

No one other than Sister Sledge deserve the honor of telling us how many of the posters in this thread feel about each other. 😊

They used to play this all the time at Oakland A's home games. It was basically the team anthem. But not any more. We've been screwed by team ownership and the family vibe is over. Now people wear t-shirts that say SELL - they want the owners to sell the team to someone who cares about the fans.

Well, you'll only have them a few more years anyways, and they'll be playing in a different stadium I hear after this year until they move to Vegas like the Raiders.

This Marin County brat, former Oakland resident and baseball fan remembers.

Catfish Hunter, Vida Blue et al revived the tradition of great player names on top of it all.

This is the last year. Next year they're playing in a minor league stadium in Sacramento while the suckers, er citizens, of Las Vegas build them a new stadium.

I'll tell you that I stopped watching Major League sports when they supported Kapperdick and others taking a knee during the National Anthem. As a Navy Veteran I don't support organizations that condone disrespect toward those who served and especially those who died serving our country. I don't hold it against other sports fans, my entire family being diehard Detroit fans like I was, it's just my personal position on the matter.

Enough said...play ball! 😁

Friends is the clue.
