A Song for Everything

Does anyone?

Just go for it - free associate. Probably Robert Hunter was doing that when he wrote it.
And there ya go.

"In David Gans's Conversations with the Dead, Hunter says: "I think ‘Ramble On Rose’ is the closest to complete whimsy I've come up with. I just sat down and wrote numerous verses that tied around ‘Did you say...’ "

Well... not really an answer... but the title just (to me)... screams The Monkees! Why? Because they had some pretty out there songs...

So next, my mind says what is the most bonkers example of awesome musicianship in a Monkees song? Perhaps Louis Shelton's astounding off the cuff flamingo guitar playing he did as a joke on the song.... Valleri... (which is my mother's name).

The Monkees - Valleri

Does this answer the question? I dunno. Only Dirk knows for sure... and Picasso has picked up the challenge.... but being me, I had to try....

Billy Sunday in a shotgun ragtime band (Have fun!)

Follow the link and you'll hear Billy Sunday in a shotgun ragtime band. The title of this piece is "BS," and that doesn't stand for Billy Sunday.

The next clue for @DirkCamacho is David Bowie and Ella Fitzgerald singing "Bridge Over Troubled Water" on the Ed Sullivan Show.

For everyone else, the next clue is "Seriously?"

Sure, this answers the thread. So does Picasso's Billy Sunday video, but you were first. Since I can't find Bowie and Ella singing Simon and Garfunkel, and I can't find a Bruce song to work with "seriously," (yes, stumped!!) it's up to you to put a prompt on this Monkees monstrosity. Either that or I'll have to post "Radio Radio" because he was seriously thinking about hiding the receiver when the switch broke 'cause it's old.
