I almost posted that, then listened to Hawaii Five-O with it's drums and guitar, before osti g Rolling Stone's top pick. Tied for #2 was The Brady Bunch and Gilligans Island. The #3 pick was Sanford & Son, a show I loved. Rockford files came in at #16.

I actually totally love this show. I have all 7 years on DVD, and often watch them at night. It's like hearing from old friends to me. And like the others - they re-recorded the theme a few times over the 7 years... and you know what I'm going to say next.... the first one was the best.
