Grandparent Rights is a similar kind of issue. As it is, grandparents have no rights to the control or custody of their grandchildren. The parents reign supreme. If society opens the door to grandparent rights it opens the door to every relative getting a piece of the action. Justification for one is justification for all.

Yes! The whole thing is arbitrary and discriminates against gays. Civil Union is store-brand/bastard marriage. But the justification for same-sex marriage is THE justification for anything else.

I did a google search for "gay rally violence" "gay marriage violence" "gay rights violence" and came up with... zilch.
I did find this;
