After the party - an idea

I'm short on time and/or skills to write this up - but it seems to me a very powerful scene.

After the party, everyone beds down on the floor in sleeping bags, and gradually the sounds fade away. Then, in the quiet, there is a sudden and suppressed giggle - then silence again. Then from a different part of the room, a sharp gasp, then some low noises. There are various other noises on and off from other directions, and then from one sleeping bag comes a rhythmic sound - it's obvious what is happening there, and as inhibitions fade the sounds grow louder. This is picked up by others - and the story continues from there.....

no.. awake... our Supreme Court decided oh, last year I think, that consent can only be given at the moment, not in advance or afterwards, so even fondling your sleeping mate is an assault.

I did that once. I had been working away and got home, as expected, about three in the morning. Got into bed where Herself was asleep. Started stroking here and there and she responded without really waking up properly, so I whispered in her ear, just as I entered her, "Where's David?".

She didn't speak to me for days and it was the spare room for weeks.

Why am I having visions of increased reports of sexual somnambulism? Cam being required to video all bedroom activity, as possible evidence to decide if fondling is assault or just a random grab at covers too tight on the sheet hogging bedmate's flesh?
