AH Anthology

Thanks Imp, I'll have a look.

EL,

Do you need a second quote?

“Enough”
Sequoia’s voice was even deeper than before and sounded a bit harsh.
I was shocked when both Conifer and Torreya backed away from me and looked expectantly at their bigger companion. What was happening? My body was on fire and I had trouble understanding the sudden turn of events.
Sequoia stood with her arms folded below her full breasts, her feet firmly planted on the ground and her brown eyes regarded me with something very unpleasant. Instead of tranquil pools of wisdom I saw twin fires, burning high with fury. I had no idea why she was that angry, but I swallowed nervously. Quite frankly, she looked terrifying and I shot to a sitting position with my hands protecting my vulnerables.
Her laugh was not merry at all. It sounded more mocking than anything else. “Hah! Frightened are you, little man? Good. You should be.”
Before I could say or ask anything, she made an imperial gesture to shut me up. Her angry gaze took in all of me, my fair skin with the scattering of freckles, my reddish-blond hair and my slowly wilting cock. She smirked.
The Sequoia Secret – Black Tulip, Volume 1

I kinda like this bit.

Bio

Could someone leave me a link to earlier examples (or just an example) of the sort of bios wanted for the anthology? I never know what sort of thing to say in something like this--had the same problem when they wanted stuff for playbills when I did some community theatre several years ago. (Back when I still had the time to do theatre. <sigh>)

More stuff

I didn't submit any stories 'cause of not having easy access to Word for doing editting, reformatting, and so on; but have decided to put some of my stuff out for perusal---and if they get vetted, then I'll find a way to get them squared away. <g>

So...for consideration then...
One Pheasant Evening
A Summer Pickup
The Casino Party

thanks

Thanks, Rumple. In the meantime, I'd found it for myself, but I don't mind having one more link to it.

Imp sent me a list of 'em for the website, I'll send 'em over to you for inspiration

An idea!

Perhaps someone could write a "Reviews & Essays" piece for Coming Together volume 1 ... eh? More publicity!

Or several someones?

:D

I was thinking of someone who is *not* currently participating ... someone, perhaps, who has said they support the endeavor. Hmmm ...

cantdog creates posters in silkscreen and cut paper, designs t-shirts, and does calligraphy. Illustration is new to him. Born and raised in Maine, cantdog is a retired firefighter. "Pornography?" he says, "I don't even own a pornograph."
My bio.

Just heard back from CafePress re the extra page that was in the first copy I ordered. They're sending me a replacement.

If you notice any binding problems, just politely call it to their attention -- and they'll (I assume) replace yours, too.

I'll see BT's like and raise you a love. Think the line about hte pornograph is special.

Okay, with sincerely_helene's story now vetted, that leaves space for one very short story in volume 4 ... one of 1,500 words or less. Please take a look at the story submissions table and make a recommendation.

We also need TWO more poems for v4. (You don't have to write poetry to endorse poetry, people!)

My second story, The Ten Commandments is only 2,000 words. Is that any good?

Can you use two from the same person or would you rather spread it out?

(PM'd you about two of The Fool's poems.)

Yum.

Thus far, I've tried to keep it to one story & one poem (or two poems) by the same person per volume. Two stories would be okay, I think, as long as the total # words isn't too terribly excessive. I think two 10,000+ worders by the same author would monopolize a volume (taking up 1/3 of the total pages) ... but maybe that's just me.

I'd be interested in hearing others' opinions on this, as I've just been following my own drummer in this regard ... trying to space things out.

I certainly agree about one story per volume per author. But since poetry is usually shorter, and his two works seemed to fit together (and you're trying to wrap up volume four) it made me wonder if that would work.

Thanks. The_Fool (bless his naughty widdle heart) already has 2 poems in v4. Admittedly, my 2-per "rule" is arbitrary ...
