Folks, I'm pulling some of my stuff from consideration for Coming Together 'cause it'll appear in my own book. However, I have no intention of abandoning this project as long as there are enough people interested in moving it forward. :kiss:

I'll be updating the tables later today. So, if anyone has any new submissions, please get 'em to me soonest. :cathappy:
 
The internet.

Possibly the greatest communications tool ever invented and it’s filled with junk. Millions and millions of web pages that do nothing but promise riches from Nigerian bankers and charge the earth for a trick of the light. It promises the world and delivers pop-ups.

Yet amongst these wasted bits and bytes, nestled amongst the spam and the fluff and the marketing tricks, there is ordinary humanity. People. People can meet, make friends, fall in love, fall out of love. They can talk, they can learn, they can listen to points of view they’d never dreamed of. They can also find themselves thinking things they had never dreamed of. Being a person that they’d never dreamed of.

The internet gives us a chance that was not available to previous generations. We can be anyone on the internet. We can reveal everything or nothing; we can create an entirely separate persona. In our real lives, we live out our days, working hour after hour, doing something utterly mundane and normal. Yet online, we can be someone different, someone dangerous, someone new. Someone sexy. We can come as we aren’t.

When we slip on the comforting vestments of our nom de plumes, we become someone else. We become the people who our friends and families would be surprised to meet. We am free. Free from society’s mores and manners, free to say anything, to do anything, to tell anything.

That freedom is why this book exists. Most of the authors in this book are completely normal people. You would pass them on the street and (apart from a brief ogle) you wouldn’t give them a second glance. Yet inside, they are wild and dangerous. Sexual, sensual beings, who aren’t afraid to vocalise their fantasies and who have the skill and ability to transmute those feelings into delicious words.

We come from every corner of the globe, from every walk of life, from every race, country, creed and colour. We have different politics, different religions, different opinions and different sexualities. Yet we come together on one thing – We are free.

This book is a presentation of that freedom. It is here because we want to share what we have. The feelings that each story evokes are our gift to you and I sincerely hope that you enjoy them.

If you do, remember this. They are only there because we feel free to express our inner sexuality. And I believe that we make the world and ourselves just that little bit better by doing it.

And all because of a few bits and bytes.

Hubby's working on the website tonight, hoping to get it doen and dusted over the weekend. Any more AV's wanting adding or personal websites you want us to link to (only fif you link to us first i think) and stuff like that needs to be with me ASAP.

I've always thought that a : was to come before a list, whereas a - comes before a single conjoined item.

I am more than willing to be corrected as I am very fuzzy about that little bit of English grammar.

Not pretending to be an expert on English grammar, but in Dutch you can use the : for a single remark as well. Seems to be the case here.

This is my bio for the 2nd volume:


neonurotic is that guy in the coffeehouse with his heels kicked up on the table. He’s a permanent fixture there much like the fake ficus trees and cliched French art. His artful muses are sex and lattés, which he finds splayed naughty and nude, topping off his wicked caffeine fix.
 
Unfortunately, we've lost our Introduction for v2. Any volunteers to tackle this? It is a brief mention of each poem/story included in the volume with its flavor and some general thoughts on the volume as a whole.

Back cover blurb is up for grabs, too. This will also be used for the promo blurb on CafePress. Ideally, it would be a "review" of sorts from an already-published author.
