AH Anthology

Just created a CafePress shop for each volume:

... and formatted them. This will leave the "main" shop for merchandise (and perhaps the most recent volume). :D

Naturally, the main web site will have to link each volume to the appropriate shop.

All the reports/bookkeeping will be consolidated (but we'll still be able to see sales on per volume basis as well).

I also featured Coming Together prominently on my author blog:

*sigh* This promo stuff is hard work. Sheesh! I mistakenly thought the writing was the hardest part.

I might find some time to illustraite a few stories.
Which stories still need drawings?

If you visit the table of contents for v2 (follow the "details" link in my sig -- and scroll through the LONG post), you'll see an asterisk beside those stories/poems which have illustrations. (I haven't updated it to include gloss yet.)

Thanks
I'll do that....It looks like I got some reading to do. :D

I like it very much, except for the spirit itself. And just a small quibble with the way you've drawn Nicole's hair....they're both from very old, very fine Creole families, and in college, and with her hair in pigtails like that, she looks a little too young.

I don't mean to discourage you, I like it very much. :)

I don't know how much New Orleans folklore you know, but Marie Laveau actually did exist, and she was the reigning voodoo queen in N.O. for many, many years. In fact, her tomb is in the St. Louis cemetery right smack in the middle of New Orleans, and people still leave offerings and prayers there....that's how powerful she was considered to be.

I had something more....um, regal in mind, is maybe the word I'm looking for.

Here's a painting of her, just to give you an idea:

On the subject of vodoo I actually know more than I am comfortable with, And I am familiar with her story.
My original drawing is taken from your story where you have a smokey nondescript image for the ghost. I can understand your thing for Marie Laveau being the accompanying image but I question if it is the right image for your written story.
But if you insist on changes here is my sugestion for those changes....Erase the ghost figure and replace with a more "regal" and younger looking ghost based off of the painting you posted.

What do you think? I'll wait for your reply before starting.

That would be great, thanks. :)

I like that, thank you!
OK we have an illustration for your story. Now what do I do with it?
Do I need to submit it somewhere that I havn't noticed yet? What format do you want it in? Size? etc?

And to be honest cloudy, the more I look at version 2, the more I like it compared to the first. Thanks for the suggested change. :)

AWESOME! Another illustrator joins the party.

Just e-mail the file to me -- in the highest resolution you've got: impressive@eroticanthology.com

... and thanks!

E-mail has been sent.... :D

When does v2 come out?

I hope to upload it to CafePress NO LATER THAN September 8th (since I go into the hospital on the 9th for surgery).

However, Lou can't do the cover until we finalize the back cover blurb. That's still hanging in the air.

Well, the way to keep it from happening is to have enough drawings to not NEED to fill with tinkered photos ... 'cause if it's all I have (assuming the author/poet likes it), I'll use it.

(sorry; been at a new job last week and out of town over the weekend...)

Rhino -- point is taken, and I'll do whatever the majority agrees on, the only reason I suggested the tinkered photos was I figured we wanted the illustrations to at least look like illustrations. But I do have actual photos (photoshopped all artsy-like) that, Imp, you are absolutely free to use once I've put a little copyright whatever on them. They are mine (they are of me :D) and they are generally up for grabs.

Here is a link to a sample (as I am not sure of the file size and if they are too big to post here): on my xanga.

Imp,
Looks like you've got plenty of help. Do you still need more illustrations?
I do sketches sometimes. I am working on something right now that might work with Box's poem May. I'll be glad to help if I can.

Yup. That work -- because it's so short -- just screams for an illustration to fill up the page!

Thanks.

Sunny, I love your pictures. Beautiful.

The last one, with the comic book look, could be worked over a bit to fit Quiet_Cool's story perhaps?

LAST CALL

This is your last chance to have something altered to the mention of your work in the Introduction to Volume 2.
I will send the text to Imp on Friday, 12th, 24.00 CET.

https://forum.literotica.com/showpost.php?p=13626771&postcount=1675

I know I said two weeks, but it looks like I'll be gone for a girl's week near the end of August. Bonus vacation, so I want to have it wrapped up before I go.

:D

For the stories which have illustrations thus far (Buzz Me, A Honeymoon Affair, Possession, and Pleasing Ellie): I need to know WHERE in the text to place the illustration. Please, PM me the sentence that should appear just BEFORE the illustration.

ASSIGNMENT:

Will someone please PM these authors and deliver this message -- in case they don't see the thread?

Also, I need Release the Beast from LadyJeanne, shereads' piece, and Tatelou's Public Humiliation in the proper format -- STAT. (Will someone please PM these authors, too?)

Thanks, y'all.

ETA: I'm in the process of placing the files recently received (AFTER my last rant) into the manuscript, and there are STILL files with spaces indenting the paragraphs (instead of using the indent paragraph formatting) and blank lines between paragraphs. How difficult is this to understand? I am SO tempted to chuck it all -- and I may yet do so. CHECK YOUR FILES, PEOPLE, IF YOU WANT TO BE PUBLISHED. (Last warning.)

Volume 3 authors -- you might want to start sending your files to me, as I may need to bump some volume 2 stories if I don't get the files in the proper format.
