AH Anthology

Sent to the Bob and Tom in the Morning Radio show:

Bob and Tom, you guys rock.

I am one of more than a dozen Authors, Poets, and Artists from Literotica.com ( http://www.literotica.com/ )who have joined together to aid in hurricane relief efforts for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The Special Edition of Coming Together: An Erotic Cocktail ( http://www.eroticanthology.com/ )is a collection of erotic stories poetry and drawings centered on a common theme of storms. Some of the sites best writers have contributed stories about erotic encounters in the rain and storms, illustrated by some truly outstanding artists and topped off with some beautiful poetry.

This 314 page book available from Cafe' Press ( http://www.cafepress.com/ctse1.31033995 ). All proceeds from the sale of this Special Edition are being donated to Katrina relief efforts.

The Coming together: An Erotic Cocktail series is an ongoing showcase for aspiring authors and artists from all over the world. The first two volumes are now available at Cafe Press with two more scheduled for release over the next six months. All proceeds from the sale of the regular series will be donated to the Electronic Frontier Foundation ( http://www.eff.org/ ) to defend our freedom of speech on the internet.

We would appreciate any help you can give us in forwarding our efforts to help the disaster victims recoup their losses and rebuild their lives.

Sincerely,

Martin "Dranoel" Spencer

PS. If you would like more information you can reach me at (614) xxx-xxxx.

I'm hoping they will mention it on their show and link us on their site.

Question for y'all.

I am in the process of doing CD jackets for the 3 volumes of Coming Together -- for the booksigning in Milwaukee in November. I can't afford to buy a bunch of print copies for resale (and risk being stuck with them), so I figured I'd burn 'em onto CD.

It occurred to me that I could put all 3 volumes on the same CD ... and cut upfront costs dramatically. What do you think is a fair price for a CD containing all 3 volumes? My estimate of expense is $4/CD (which includes printing of labels & jacket) ... the rest will be profit for donation (with 34% going to hurricane relief & 66% going to EFF.org). Does $24.99 sound reasonable?

Do you think we'd sell more if I did individual CDs?

HELP!

Let me just do the maths Imp an I'll give you my opinion :)

Hmmm, now to me it seems just a little bit steep....but then I'm a cheapskate *L* myself I'd say $20 ish..but as I say, I'm a tightwad *l*

You gotta love the *.pdf reader.

I think you'd sell about the same number whether single or triple. The customer would be happier about the triple, I bet.

I have no argument to back this, just an instinct. Since we'll never actually know, I think we must conclude I'm undoubtedly right on it.

So do the three-volume thing. I makes the price more reasonable: twenty plus costs.

Basic economics, dear Watson. ;)

People will feel they get a bargain: three volumes at once, for less than half the price of three separate books.

:D

STILL WAITING.
ordered vol 1 nearly 3 weeks ago. anyone else have this problem?

Nope. Mine came very fast. Matter of three days, not counting the weekend in one case.

damnit!
well, we are in the middle of nowhere. will hound them then... *sigh*

I don't think it's a 'nowhere' thing, although my address is boringly straightforward. I think it's what they call, technically, a 'fuckup.' I wish you good fortune with it. I hope a human made it and not a computer, for example.

thanks for your experience. im glad to know its just us.

Cafe Press could hardly have made it so long if they were unable chronically to ship. Shipping is all they do besides printing, really. I think it will resolve when you get on them a little.

I ordered Volume 2 and it arrived in less than a week. No problems at all. :nana:

I ordered vol. 1 and it took nearly three weeks for it to get to me. I am fairly close compared to these others Vella. Maybe they are prejudiced against the south west?

Well, it took just 4 days to get my book and coffee mugs (the tote bag had to be back-ordered). And that was smack in the middle o' the Bible belt.

Maybe they stopped to read it first?

maybe, we don't have any kind of porn available for about three hours in any given direction. the mailman prolly got his jollies and then delivered it. Look out for porn thievin' postal workers, V.

Most postal workers are ridiculously dedicated to delivery. I think there was a mixup at the source.

Sorry, Vella but my order was delivered ridiculously fast.

I got mail today. :nana: :nana: :nana:
