Looks like there's lots of folk who'd like to come, but can't get away - what about acting as host, so you don't have to get away?

Failing all else, Yorkshire has lots more to offer than we saw in Feb (and there is warmer weather at other times of year) so maybe another round here?

What kinds of dates would open the gates?

Hi Mat,

Exactly when in Spring? (And, if it's not confidential, which American?) I'm convinced that the Yorks meet-up was such a success primarily because of the presence of a certain lady from the US; another such visitor would be an enormous bonus.

Incidentally, we've done a couple in England (and tried in Scotland - cries of 'Shame!'). What about Wales, south of the Solent, or west of the North Sea?

I'm really sorry the whole thing fell through, but maybe if we start working on it now, then the spring meet can actually happen.

I would like to be involved in a Spring meeting.

Edinburgh was always doubtful for me. Without flying which was possible until the local airline went bust, the journey was probably more than my disabilities could manage. Apart from the travel, my diary for October has gradually filled with essential meetings that I cannot delegate. I hope, legislators permitting, that all my meetings will cease by 24th November. What MPs do - I can't control.

Tis a shame but in the new year with a fresh allocation of hols and a generous payrise (in my dreams) perhaps things could turn out better.

Looking forward to seeing some old faces again and hopefully a few new, and repaying old debts!

What's more extreme than utterly impossible?
It is impossible, but I do wish I could make that trip.
Last time I was in England and Scotland was before you were born.

I saw that. but Milwaukee, Wisconsin is only about half the distance, but still way to far. I don't drive much more than an hour at a time anymore.
