Al Qaeda In NYC

R. Richard said:
Actually, the people who "hide" Al Qaeda are often doing so because any other action would result in the deaths of the hiders and their families.

The best solution is to take the latest captive who seems to know the least, tatoo the Arabic for "Al Qaeda" on his face and cheeks and turn him loose, naked with the warning, "If we find you again, we will kill you and anyone who is with you." You then make sure that all Iraqis who live in houses know what tatoo boy knows.

The treatment may be degrading, but the next guy in line will suddenly remember the who and where of his comrades [make that ex-comrades] plus supply lines, facilitators in Syria or Iran and a wealth of information that can be used to prevent future attacks in and out of Iraq.

Subway plot was a hoax!

But never fear, so were the reasons for the war in Iraq.

'Those who hide torturers' is a class that includes most of the Executive branch's political appointees. If you extend impunity to torturers, it is the same as attaching the electrodes personally. This much is no hoax.

There are probably a hundred 'terror' plots discovered a year. Not all the stories like this are bogus. The timing of this relaease of stories was to help rescue Bush from bad press and poor ratings. As usual they paid little heed to whether the stories were verified or not. Ideologues never do. They think they can lie indefinitely and always be believed by enough R Richards to keep them in office.

And Osama in Pakistan ("ally" in the war on terror, nuclear nation, had their debt writ off by us, home to the majority of Al Queda) laughs his head off while Bush's head gyrates on his lap saying, "I don't need to bother. They'll destroy themselves."

I think the saddest thing is that even if the hoax was real, it wouldn't have actually justified forces in Iraq as Iraq was merely a road in the false plan, both training and planning coming from elsewhere.

Eh, how dearly we pay for a false sense of security.
