Alien vs Predator: A Frozen Hell

The netgun had served its usefulness. One shot to fire, one Predator laid to waste. Kingston let the weapon drop from her hands with a heavy splash. No sense carrying around what couldn't help. The synthetic did, however, replace the pistol in the waistline of her pants. Ammunition for it was virtually guaranteed should she wander the base long enough. The medic's bag taken up again as well. The tri-barbed gun was readied in one hand, the bloodied knife in the other.

The objective was still clear. Reach a ranking officer or computer terminal. Relay word of both Predator and the Mixbreed's presence. Assess the situation inside the base and proceed from there. The difference now was that there was likely to be several more obstacles in the way, invisible and ruthless. Caution was paramount.

Leading with her projectile weapon, Kingston began to exit the showers and the bathrooms. Her eyes stayed wary of unnatural air and she took every corner with a certain expectancy. There would be many more dead before this ordeal was over. Part of her task was to ensure she wasn't one of them.

Vellius moved deeper into their new nest seeking out the perfect throne room. He moved cautiously and kept two drones in front of the pack there was no need for him to walk into any ambushes first. Vellius was constantly smelling the air and listening for any signs of more prey as he walked through the corridors.

Aliens, pt XX.
Vellius sniffed the air cautiously as the drones ahead of him scuttled into the darkly-light cafeteria. The mess hall was large and smelled of food and death. Human corpses lined the walls where they hung limply from the ceiling.

Odd...

When the drones had finished searching the peremiter they scuttled back to the Preatorian. Vellius felt their eager message.

The room is large with two exits and a nearby food supply. There are also many bodies and supplies for the new hive but there is a problem. The musk of a hunter lingers here...
The drones eagerly tasted the air and circled around the Preatorian as he considered the room's possiblities. One drone crawled forward.

Is this place to be the site of our mother's throne room or does she demand we search further?

Vellius knew what the hunter needed to be found and disposed of first. But the drones roused a good question so Vellius attempted to communicate with the queen. Vellius walked around the mess hall checking to make sure that all the humans were dead Vellius didn’t want any unexpected surprises.

My queen we have found a large room that would be suitable for your new throne... But i smell another from of prey in this building its a hunter. Do you wish for me to dispose of its foul preseance of our new home first my queen?
