Almost always smiling. AKA a place where Photog1rl shows off 😜

The trick was to have the Record and Play buttons already depressed, and rely on the Pause button to handle everything.

And then all you had to do was hope the damn DJ didn't talk over the whole intro while he was trying to hit the post.
No…the trick was to have friends that would make you mixed tapes lol

I’d have been your friend. I was friends with everyone. 🤗
haha, thank you. I was friendly with everyone, but had no close friends.
It didn't help that I was in a very small town (less than 50) and was at the very edge of my school district. So I was 20 miles from everyone I went to school with. I worked after school and cruised a different city than everyone else.

But it worked out, I've been living alone and 100+ miles from home since I was 16 but I have seen and done so much.

You've mentioned that you lived on your own from an early age. Is that a good memory or nah?

Gladly.

All my friends were good at it too. So we'd have talked shit about you whilst making the tape. But, yeah! I'd have loved to.:p
I don't think the folks that made me mixed tapes were talking shit about me but this is your version of history so you can remember it that way it you want. 😘

Good? Strange but good... I didn't get quite the same experience as others in college. For starters I couldn't legally drink (though I did) or have sex (and I didn't)...my teens and 20s were all business. But it's allowed me to see and do so much. I don't and have never really felt a comnection with anyone my age, always 10+ years older.

My friends and I were weird. Real geeks. Lovable geeks, but geeks nonetheless.

They'd have been very impressed that I was making a mixtape for A Hot Girl. That would have manifested itself in them elaborately pretending not to care about you.

Hey...I took computerce 1 after school and played D&D on Sunday morning in exchange for getting a lot of help with my HW. Haha

And I do get this. My husband was a year ahead of you and sounds like he would have been in your group of friends. We worked together after I graduated and that's how we met. When they found out he was going on a date with me they didn't believe him lol

And these sound like bragging or something and I don't mean it like that. His friends were great they just decided I wouldn't talk to them. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Seems to have worked out for you!

I always sucked at making mixtapes, but fortunately I had friends who were stereo-philes and whose parents had way better equipment than I did. :)
