Always trapped ~ Closed~

Ree chuckled when she tagged him with a kiss, but he was enjoying himself. Kasa had even come out to watch their little game, watching from the rampart of the northwest wing. On her last tag, he could feel himself getting tired. Normally he could stay active for at least a day without sleep, but his body was giving him signal that he needed to prepare for the full moon.

The last round of tag, he went after her quickly. He found her the fastest of all, tagging her on her shoulder. He grinned down at her from the hedge top he had found her in.

"I've enjoyed our game this eve, but I must find some rest before the night comes again. You do not have to leave, for there are plenty of rooms to spare. And I have questions for you, later."

He leaned closer to her for a moment, his breathe hot against her cheek.

"Good night little one."

He was gone in the next moment.

Kazalyea was getting pretty tired as well, even her tummy had started to yell at her a little. It has been hours since she ate last, however, it was far to late to eat now.

"Good night" was whispered to him as he was gone in a second.

She did have to admit sleeping in the castle was so very tempting, yet, it was such a beautiful night, even with the moon shining the stars were still bright and filled the sky. Found a comfy spot on top of the hedge, allowing her to get an awesome view of the night sky. Kazalyea always liked sleeping outside, it always gave her the greatest comfort she could ever ask for.

Wondered for the longest time what kind of questions he had for her. Soon sleep took over and had dreams about Ree.

Ree slept till nearly just past noon. Kasa, with nothing else to do, spent her time hovering near Kazalyea, watching her sleep. The ghost envied the elf's ability to sleep, but she got over it long before.

Dressing himself in a pair of leather pants and soft leather tunic, Ree made his way into the kitchen. He knew that all the food her had was pretty much just a few fruits, a small amount of bread, and some wine. He figured the elf would be hungry when she woke, he made up a place with food for her in the dinner room. After pouring a glass of wine for her, he sat down in a chair near the table to wait on her.

The sun started to blaze in the sky, making Kazalyea squirm in her sleep, trying to hide from it. Soon enough, the hedge started to look like it was eating her as she slept, putting her into the shadows.

When she finally did wake it was difficult to tell just what time it was, let alone how the heck she swallowed by the hedges. It always made her wonder how the plant life took care of her the way they do.

Guessed by the sun it was late in the afternoon sometime.

"Man, I am going to get an ear full about this one when i get home"

Course at this time, she was debating if she would go back home, ever. Slowly made her way out of the maze, hungrier than ever at this point. At first she was hesitant on going back into the castle, not because of earlier acts with Kasa, but because she seriously didn't want to overstay her welcome here. Ree did say she could stay, did that include breakfast too? Kazalyea didn't know what to expect anymore as she plucked twigs and leaves from her hair. Figured she'd at least go and see if he is even awake.

Kasa was silent as she followed after Kazalyea, debating her next move. She tried to place an idea of what exactly the elf was, but very few ideas were coming to mind. Shrugging softly, the ghost drifted away from the elf and into the castle. She found Ree in the dining room watching a place full of food. Knowing he wasn't one to eat much, she drifted back out to where Kazalyea was.

The young elf was nearly to the edge of the courtyard when Kasa floated down in front of her.

"The Master is sitting in the dining room staring at a place setting like it's going to eat itself. Maybe you should check it out."

A little smile crept on her lips at the thought of him waiting for her, it was still difficult for her to understand why she felt this way towards him, at the same time, she wasn't going to argue with it. After all, it appears so far that he likes her in return, so why argue?

In that same moment she plucked out the last twig in her hair, combing through the length to get the tangles out, she didn't braid it last night so now it is a mess. With that in mind, she had to wonder what the rest of her looked like. Spent the entire day outside, and last night, running around, playing, hiding in dirty bushes. All the sudden she felt like a dirty kid that had been playing in dirt all day.

Kazalyea did her best to clean up a little, dusted herself off, used a near by fountain to at least wash her face, combed through her hair as best as she could and tied it into a loose pony tail. She did the best she could with what she had to work with.

Once she got herself cleaned up a bit, it was time to go in and sit with him and to finally eat. Come to find out, it wasn't that easy for her once she got to the dining room entrance, seeing him sitting there and waiting, all the sudden and out of no where, Kazalyea went into shy mode. Last night was different, she was able to hide and it was dark, now, there was no hiding, it wasn't dark. Wasn't quite sure what to do all the sudden as she stood there for a moment fidgeting with her hair.

Ree was more stunning in the light than she had thought, was able to see him last night, but night light is always different compared to the day. It was as if she was seeing him for the first time and also he was very clean looking, which in turn made her feel more like a stray off the streets than she did a few moments ago.

Eventually she took a breath to calm her nerves a little and went towards the seat next to him.

Ree caught her scent before she entered the dining room, causing him to look towards the doorway. He gave a little smile for a moment as he watched her. He gave a little chuckle as he picked up the subtle signs of her shyness, her movements, and expression. Something about it only served to make her more interesting to him.

He finally spoke when she moved deeper into the dining room, taking her seat.

"It's not much to eat, but please enjoy it. Thank you for coming in."

Kasa floated in through the wall between the kitchen and dining room, sitting down on the table at the other end, watching.

There were so many conflicted emotions running through her right now, heart felt like it was about to break through her chest, tummy couldn't make up its mind if it was hungry or just fluttered with nerves. It didn't help that it felt like she was being watched, which, well, she was, as she ate some bread. Needed to find a way to break this up a bit, some kind of nerve breaking conversation.

Granted it was about her and she didn't like talking about herself, Kazalyea figured she'd go there....

"You said last night you had questions? What kind of questions?"

It took a bit to keep her voice steady, but the nerves were clear as she went to take a sip of wine, perhaps that will calm these dang nerves... They weren't this bad last night, why.... then she realized it was the way he looked at her, she could easily get lost in his gaze. Tried her hardest to not stare at him for too long, not wanting to be rude, there were times that she couldn't help it. He was just too perfect.

He leaned back in his seat as he watched her, though she didn't seem hungry. He pressed the thought aside as she asked about his question. He smiled for a moment.

"Yes I do. You are very intriguing to me. You are the first person to come to this castle and not get scared off. Why is that? Do you not see the broken down castle?"

He knew she had seen the portraits, but even with his magic they would have looked worn and faded. He looked towards Kasa at the end of the table, who just smiled back sweetly. Ree frowned for a moment, wondering what she was up to.

The more Kazalyea ate and drank, the more her hunger was winning over the nerves. There wasn't much for protein, least not that was here, so she made it work with what was available. Soon enough the bread and glass of wine was gone and she started to work on an orange.

"No. I don't anything broken here."
answered with a bit of confusion.

"I've heard many stories of a haunted castle, broken like you describe. But I don't think those stories were of this castle."

despite knowing that it had to of been, there were no other castles in these woods.

Then she kind of laughed for a moment at the thought of being scared off..

"Even I did see it that way, highly doubt it would scare me off.. I most likely still would have stayed."

laughed a little more at the thought, her curiosity kills any fear she has and she knew it.

"There isn't much in this world so far that does scare me."

Except being caught and thrown into a cage to a wasted life, that much scared her, but she left that out.

"Why do you ask? Is it suppose to be broken?"

Ree frowned for a moment as he listened to her answer, not liking it at first. It meant one of several things, but not all of them bad.

"The reason I ask is because it could mean one of several things. First, my magic spell on the castle is waning, as I'm not exactly looking for visitors to try and move in on my property. Two, you can see through my magic somehow. Third, someone is trying to mess with me, as usual."

He smirked for a moment as he balanced towards Kasa, who just continued to smile sweetly.

"I doubt that my magic suddenly stopped working without me know it. So I have to suspect you are able to see through it. How?"

He turned his attention back to the young elf.

A smile crossed her lips listening to his concerns, it was slightly amusing to her that someone like him would have those kind of concerns.

"I see lots of things others don't. Like Kasa over there, I see her type all the time, in fact she's not the only one that roams these castle walls. This castle has lots of stories in it."

It made her think for a moment, trying to come up with other examples.

"Like you, I see a wolf hiding behind your eyes, I see plant life in a different way as well, that I can not explain though."

There wasn't much to explain on the how part of his question, she didn't even know, or what any of it means.

Kazalyea looked away, putting the unfinished orange down.

"Like I was telling Kasa, at least you know what you are.... I... I don't even get to know that much about myself. My elders found me crying and lost in the woods, took me in and raised me. No one so far as been able to figure out what I am or how I can do what I do."

paused for a moment thinking about things, trying to find a best way to explain, but nothing came to her. There was no easy way to explain.

"A freak of nature is the best anyone has been able to come up with. Some say I have Drow and wood elf, yet, I don't see either of them. Neither one of them can do what I do with plant life, or see the things I do. I can't explain really."

Went back to fidgeting with her hair, unsure of what to do or say right now.

He was quiet for a few moments as he took in her answers.Seeing her goblet was empty, he poured the elf another glassful and one for himself. He was taking a sip when Kasa gave a little laugh.

"What she says about there being others here is true. They just don't think you're worth their time of showing themselves, Master Ree."

He stopped and growled low for a moment as he looked towards Kasa.

"Sounds like a bit of your doing then."

He cleared his throat and turned his attention back to Kazalyea.

"Being a "freak of nature", as the others seem to put it, isn't a bad thing. It just makes you more special than them. Heh, you could say that Kasa and I are freaks of nature as well. What was your name again?"

He had heard her tell it to Kasa, but it was a hunch she had been hiding something from them. He wasn't sure why, but he was sure he would find out soon.

Kazalyea hesitated for a moment or two, was unable to understand how they were 'freaks of nature'. Kasa was just a ghost, looks to be of human before that, Ree was a Drow, it did make her wonder why she kept seeing a wolf in his eyes though. Kazalyea had her suspicions though, there are wolves all the over the place in here, paintings mostly, then there's the question that Kasa had asked earlier about werewolves. All these thoughts she kept to herself though.

"Kazalyea.... but, you can call me Kazzy for short if you wish."

Spoke without looking up, her thoughts were going in a million directions right now, she did drink a bit more wine after he had poured her more.

"I do not understand something though..."

Paused a moment, it took her awhile of arguing with herself before finally asking...

"Why do I see a wolf in your eyes? I see a lot of things in peoples eyes, most I can figure out, but, I've not seen what I see in your eyes."

Deep down she had a feeling she knew the answer, putting all the puzzle pieces together, it was to the point to where she needed to hear it, to confirm what she was thinking. Her foot accidentally found his leg when she shifted a little, but made no attempt at moving it away, it felt good to touch him again. She finally looked up to meet his eyes.

He raised an eyebrow for a moment when she spoke of seeing a wolf in his eyes. This was definitely something new to him, causing him to glance towards Kasa. The ghost just shrug for a moment. He turned back to her as he felt her foot against his leg, smiling a little.

"A wolf in my eyes? That's the first I have heard someone tell me that. Though I've not looked into anyone's eyes for quite a few years, since her death."

He pointed a thumb towards Kasa, who stuck her tongue out at him. He took a sip of wine as he thought of what to say next.

"It could be anything really. I was cursed when I was much younger, and I've lived six hundred plus years so far."

It wasn't really the answer she was looking for, although, it did tell her he was hiding something by his reaction.

"Yes, I see a very impatient wolf, more so than last night. Makes no difference, I see something different in everyone."

Spoke with a smile, knowing she'll figure it out sooner or later.... and if she doesn't, then oh well. Lowering her gaze again, almost afraid to ask but didn't see how it could hurt, worse he can say was no.

"Is...."

"Is it possible for me to stay here for a bit longer? I really do not wish to go home right now."

It was strange that this place felt more home like than her real home did.

He chuckled softly at her question. She had been told she was free to stay here, but perhaps she was just needing a bit of confirmation from him personally. He finished his wine for a moment before placing the glass on the table. He leaned forward towards the table, taking her hand gently in his for a moment.

"Of course you may stay here longer. I have a feeling you would fit right in."

He smiled and lifted her hand to his lips, kissing it softly for a moment before letting go. He smiled at the blush he brought to her cheeks.

Kazalyea felt a bit flushed after he took her hand kissed it, it took a moment for her to get her nerves back into control and smiled at him.

"Is there a particular room you want me to have, or does it matter?"

Not that she would mind going into his room by mistake, but she would rather avoid doing that if at all possible.

Looking down at her dress she had been wearing for two days now...

"Don't suppose you have spare clothes too?"

At this point she didn't care what kind clothes, just as long as they were clean and a bath but she figured that would come with the room, or at least close to the room. Was thinking about the food selection he offered for breakfast and thought perhaps she'll make a night run to her garden later.

During this whole time, her foot kept caressing his leg lightly, she was loving the feel of his leather pants, feeling how soft they were. It seemed like he didn't mind much either.

Judging from her actions so far, Ree figured that she had a deep vein of curiosity running through her. He also knew that Kasa had prevented her from searching all of the castle. Allowing her free-roam would give her plenty to keep her busy, and he wanted to see how she would continue to act. He gave a bit of a smile for a moment.

"No, I will let you pick where to stay. I'm sure there are other places you want to see, which Kasa decided to lead you away from yesterday."

He glanced towards Kasa for a moment before looking back at Kazalyea.

"As far as clothes for you, I'm not certain. There may be ladies' clothing somewhere, but it would be very old. You can try to wear those if you want."

He leaned back n the chair, folded his hands in his lap as she continued to rub her foot against his leather. It was different, haven't another so close and touching another living person as well.

Kazalyea had to bite her lip a little, fighting the urge to jump up and go now! Her eyes lit up at the thought of exploring this more, even wanted to stick her tongue out at Kasa but refrained from doing so.

Up till now she hadn't really had a plan for the day, most likely do what she always did, go out and find trouble. For now, she slowly finished the rest of her wine, reluctantly took her foot away from his leg.

"I guess now is a good time as ever to find a room and hopefully some clothes."

Hopefully a bath too...

Stood up from the table and thought for a moment, she really had nothing to offer him and yet he is doing all this for her. Kazzy still couldn't understand why.. but after a moment she leaned down and kissed him lightly, and whispered

"Thank you"

next thing he knew she was leaving the room.

Ree smiled at seeing the light in her eyes. He wasn't quite sure why he was doing all this, perhaps it was something more primal in nature. He watched her stand up and then raised an eyebrow as she kissed him lightly. He didn't say anything as she left the room, Kasa floated closer to him.

"Are you sure this is wise Ree? You know what tonight it."

He smirked at her for a moment. He knew, after all, he could feel his skin crawling in anticipation of what was going to happen.

"It's a full moon tonight and I'm going to change into a werewolf. You know I don't have full control on the full moon."

Kasa grinned for a moment.

"You just better hope your wild side doesn't make mincemeat out of her. We will be hunting tonight, right?"

Ree shook his head for a moment.

"You may be around to torment me, but I can't stop you from doing what you what. You can't do much more than scare people."

Kasa giggled and laughed.

"That's what makes it fun."

She turned and floated away as Ree sighed. Kasa floated after Kazzy silently, watching to see where she went.

Her first mission was to hunt down a bath and hopefully some decent clothes. Making a mental note that she might have to do more than just collect food tonight, needing her own clothes, which wasn't really all that much.

First couple of rooms were not too horridly impressive, least not as much as she expected, they were typical rooms, very basic. Kazalyea scrounged a few tid bits of clothes as she went from room to room, it seemed like she was looking for the perfect room to call hers.

One room she knew had to be his, it has been used a lot more than the other ones, a bit messy with clothes thrown on chairs, bed wasn't fully made yet. Kazalyea did snoop just a tad, but didn't want to dig to deeply so she left after a moment or two. About two doors and across the hall from his she finally found the room she wanted. She hoped it wasn't Kasa's room when she was around, not like she used it anymore, but it wouldn't feel right to use it with her around either. Luckily it did have a bath as well, like his room did, the bed was huge with deep red silky bedding, sheer curtains that surrounded it.

It didn't take her long to find a really pretty velvet, blue dress, it was old yes, but it was fit to her slender body to show off all the right curves.

"Perhaps later... a more suitable time.."

it was more of a self note than anything. She needed something more for going out in, something light and easy that will allow her to move more freely. Rumaged through the clothes she had found, finding a black leather vest top that didn't cover her mid section. After a few moments of deciding she picked out a light flowy green skirt that came just above her knees and decided this will work. Kazalyea was even able to find a pair boots that fit her perfectly, coming up to mid calf.

Next on the agenda was the bath. While she was getting the water ready, filling up the tub, started to look around to see what kind soaps and oils are still around that she could use.

After Kazzy left, Ree made his way out to the garden. He went to the center of the maze where he always spent his time before the transformation. The meditation helped calm his wilder side until the time was right. The skin crawling and other signs of his change always got worse as the final hours wore on till the evening would come.

Kasa followed Kazzy around as she went, watching her every move. She giggled a little when the elf foundt Ree's room, having a few thoughts of her own. Though she didn't say anything about the clothes, the ghost was surprised the clothes fit her.

The ghost sat down on the bed Kazzy had chosen, humming softly. The song was a soft lullaby that she had heard growing up, with a naturally calming effect from it. It was while Kazzy was looking for bathing materials that she spoke up, with a grin on her face.

"The Master isn't going to be alone anymore. Not with someone to share his bed now."

She knew the words might catch the young elf off guard. There was quite a collection of soaps and oils lined up near the bath, half-filled on a shelf just above the bath.

Kazzy listened to the pretty song that kasa was humming, then out of no where she said that, of all things to say!! It did catch her off a little, but all she came back with was,

"Who said anything about a bed? With you around watching, we might have to find other places."

A few of the oils made her gag they were just so awful smelling and strong, sticking those off to the side to never be used.

After going through most of the oils and soaps, kazzy finally found one that is good enough for now, pretty mild and easy. Kazzy stripped down and slowly sunk into the warm water, sinking all the way in getting her head wet. Taking her sweet time in this refreshing bath, she wondered what Kasa would do if ..... that... was to happen? Would she finally leave? Stay and watch, or interrupt for that matter? All kinds of scenarios popped into her head, a few made her laugh a little.

After a while, she finally got out of the bath and started drying off. During this whole time the marks on her shoulders were a bit more noticeable, they seemed brighter than before, but kazzy didn't seem to notice it much. Got dressed, braided her hair into two braids and began to head out since it was getting dark.

"I will be back later.."

Kasa went back to humming as Kazzy took her bath. She tilted her head a little as she noticed the glowing spots on the elf's shoulders, but she didn't say anything about them. She just laughed and called out after Kazzy as she left the bedroom.

"Maybe you'll like being watched."

She turned to look out the window, noticing the sun was going down. It would be time soon, for the hunt. She floated out towards the garden where Ree was meditating. She waited quietly a few feet from him, shifting into her own ghost werewolf form.

It was just after sundown the change set in. He hunched over in pain as he felt the hair breaking through all over. His muscle mass increased in size, ripping apart his clothes, leaving them in tatters on the ground around him. Two inch long black claws came out, scraping the stone as he caught his balance. It only took moments for him to fully change.

Standing up tall, a full seven foot, the werewolf howled loud and long, Kasa's howl joining his. It could even be heard outside the barrier he had placed around the castle. Growling after he finished howling, he darted from the garden and out into the forest, followed by Kasa.
