Don't know about that... This is Literotica.com("source for the hottest in erotic fiction and fantasy")...not GLBTLifestyles or some such.

And if you read the tag line under THIS forum it says: "Discussions of non-straight sexuality and life". It don't say a damn thing about having to deal with a bunch of hetero's fetish posts.

People have different opinions on the use of the Lit forums. Personally, I use the story side for gratification, and the forum side for intelligent chat. Other people use both for gratification. Some people get annoyed when there are threads that aren't focused on sex stuff, and they complain that it's too boring. So different strokes for different folks, eh?

See, I don't have ANY problem with that. If people want to get as pervy as all get out, spank each others ass, howl at the moon and suck as much cyber dick as possible (while remaining absolutely straight of course ;) ) they can knock themselves out!

I just think that they should do all that weird shit (IMO) in the appropriate forum. This one is the only one for us queers so my question is why the hell do they feel the need and the right to intrude???

Actually...my guess is that it's ignorance. In some cases, they know they have these interests, but they don't know what to call them. Like pegging - a lot of straight guys think taking it up the butt = gay, or at least bi. They don't make the connection we do...that taking it up the butt from a woman = straight. So it's a constant struggle of education. I think they genuinely don't realize they're in the wrong place. Same with the stocking/panty fetishists. Those are "girl clothes" so they think it's a trans thing. And we do have some people in here who are genuinely on the transgender spectrum, and they post and are part of our community. But if a guy just likes wearing women's clothes, then it's really more a fetish, not a gender dysphoria. But he doesn't realize that. So yeah...constant ongoing education. Which, no, it's shouldn't be our responsibility to do. But somebody's got to, or the forum does get overrun, so we just have to keep steering them in the right direction.

A lot of what you jump on could be bisexuals or even homosexuals in transition trying to process their sexuality though.

A straight guy getting pegged isn't bisexual/gay, 100% agreed. But a bisexual guy getting pegged isn't straight either.

There are rules here that state straight people are welcome and that there is to be no sexual orientation bashing...gay, straight or otherwise.

Wow.

My faith in humanity has been greatly reduced by this thread.

I am disappointed, Lit.

I'm not sure what you mean by that either. I mean, here we are talking about a topic that is relevant to all of us; sharing thoughts, offering points of view, reading about how other people feel. We've come around now to a discussion of the root issue. Heck, if we keep at it, we might even come to an understanding and appreciation of each other. How does that detract from your faith in humanity?

Don't know about that... This is Literotica.com("source for the hottest in erotic fiction and fantasy")...not GLBTLifestyles or some such.

The intent of the web site may indeed be to provide material that people want for sexual gratification. It's a place for authors of erotic fiction to present their work, get feedback and editorial advice. It's a place for readers of erotic fiction to enjoy the work of the writers, help fellow writers, and yeah maybe even rub one out while they're reading it. That's Literotica.com. And thank you, Lit, for that.

But the discussion board forums, a little bonus off to the side of Literotica.com, are for discussion between members. Some forums are for those who want to flirt and play around. Some are for those who want to discuss more serious issues. This one is for gay (gimme a G!), lesbian (gimme an L!), bisexual (gimme a B!) and transsexual (gimme a T!) people to discuss GLBT issues with each other. What's that spell? Love! I don't think of it as an exclusive members-only club. I welcome any person who wants to come to the GLBT forum and talk about GLBT stuff. But I also don't think this particular forum is a place to come exclusively for sexual gratification, especially if what one is looking for is not relevant to GLBT issues or lifestyle.

When I first started visiting this forum, I think I was more toward the men-who-don't-believe-they're-attracted-to-men group. This forum gave me some perspective. I learned about myself through looking at others' perspectives, discussing issues, and examining how I feel about whatever is being discussed. I'm not saying that's what everybody needs or even wants. But I'm an advocate for keeping the GLBT chatter to just that.

I don't mind too much that there are threads on this forum started and maintained just for people to get aroused. It often gets us talking to each other about our thoughts and feelings, and let's face it, some of the photos and vids people post are gosh-dang sexy. But I also don't want to lose this venue for meaningful discussion to hundreds of threads with nekkid pictures and big cock videos. All I'm saying is, if I had to choose, I'd choose discussion over porn. I like porn as much as the next guy, but I can get porn somewhere else.

Very well said, thanks CJ
