I have been curious about fingering my ass while I masturbate, I've heard that by rubbing the prostate, one can acheive an incredible orgasm. Just a quick question, Could one use vasoline as a lube before trying it? Or is that unsafe. *Feels very embarassed*

Vaseline is not a good lubricant to use, as it holds bacteria. Babyoil works well and there are many other kind of lubricants to choose from.

And yes while having your prostate stimulated you will have an amazing orgasm

Don't be embarassed :) My girlfriend noticed how my eyes lit up when we we passed the anal section of the adult toy store so she bought me a string of anal beads. They aren't something that I use every time or even a majority of the time that I'm in the mood to pleasure myself but as an occasional change of pace they are great. Lube is a requirement when it comes to having anal sex because the butt doesn't respond too well on it's own to that level of friction but lube is optional when it comes to inserting something as gentle as a finger.

I know when I first started to play with my butt I just got my finger wet with a good amount of spit. Have to add more often, but it does work ok. Got some anal lube from the adult toy store later, and a few toys.

I understand the embarrassment, but there's no reason to be uneasy. It's great to ask questions, and there's nothing abnormal about anal play. :)

You could use an oil based lube like Vaseline or baby oil for anal play (and male masturbation), but they're messy, stain fabric, and are generally kind of icky. People like them because they're slick, last until washed off with soap, and are generally super cheap. Bacteria from contamination can be a problem with tubs/jars if you "double dip" with fingers/toys that have already been in anal region.

Spit's also the right price, but it's not advisable to use it for lube because it's not slick and dries out quickly, which makes penetration/extrication extremely uncomfortable. Likewise, stay away from KY Jelly...it's only intended for one-time insertion and isn't a good lubricant at all.

However, in the past six months, hubby and I have discovered the joys of silicone lube. Here's the rundown:
-It's safe for anal, vaginal, skin, condoms, and all toys except for those that contain silicone. It doesn't have any taste or smell, and is inert, so it shouldn't cause irritation or infections.

-It's ultra-slick; slicker than oil-based products, in my opinion.

-It has the staying power of oil, and a tiny bit goes a LONG way. We only use a few drops for anal all night. The pint I bought will likely last for several years of frequent use, and silicone doesn't go bad like many water based lubes.

-Unlike oil, it's not greasy...it feels silky, kind of luxurious, just damn good. It's actually moisturizing and won't clog your pores like oil. We use it for massage, as a moisturizer, and even to shave. Hubby and I both LOVE it for hand jobs. :D

-It's waterproof like oil (you wash it off with warm water and soap), which is wonderful for play in the shower/tub. If you're uncomfortable with anal play, the shower might be a great place to start experimenting: you're clean, relaxed, it's private, cleanup is easy, etc.

-It can stain some fabrics, but not like oil, and we haven't had any problems with this at all.

-It is more expensive than most other lubes; however, when you consider it's likely the only lube you'll need (unless you have silicone toys), has so many other uses, how little it takes to get the job done, and how long it lasts, I think it actually comes out cheaper. I researched and price shopped for a very long time, and think I found the best deal anywhere: $19.95 for 16 ounces of ID Millennium, which is about the same price per ounce as many water based. If you're not sure about it, most places have tiny sample packs for a dollar or something, but I have yet to hear anything but rave reviews. We're kicking ourselves for wasting all of that money and sex on water based for so many years.

Don't feel embarrassed dude. Lots of guys finger their bungholes, me included I'm proud to say.

Although, I am kinda paranoid about hurting myself somehow. Perhapse an expert could tell us if there's any chance of causing an abrasion with the fingernails or something and is it safe to rub the prostate?

Ta very much.

I too had heard about stimulating the prostate to get this orgasm... and since I was curious, I tried it myself. I'm not really flexible, so I had to work at it a few times... I have to admit, it was actually great feeling. I don't do it a lot, but once in a great while if I feel like getting off that badly, I'll do it. I've been thinking about trying things like anal beads and whatnot, but I have to say I'm too embarrassed to even BUY something. I prefer it to be a private matter.

I'm not an expert, but of course there's a risk of scratches and tears with anything rough or sharp like unkempt fingernails, forceful movements, hard toys/objects, etc. Healing is a real concern because the environment is so acidic and full of bacteria. If you're worried or have trouble with access, it'd likely be best to get a toy designed for anal: one that's hygenic/easy to sterilize (silicone, pyrex, some plastics); doesn't have any points, seams, or rough parts; and perhaps with a curve for easier prostate stimulation. We love the hitachi magic wand's adult attachments.

And yes, prostate stimulation is very safe as long as it's not hurting. I've heard there's some evidence it's extremely healthy and may be a good preventative measure against prostate problems.

HybridCrow, Amazon has toys, and most are very inexpensive. Order a book and a vibe, and no one will be the wiser! All toy sellers are very discrete with plain packaging and generic billing, and only you will know about the toys. :)

I can say from recent (um.. 3 days ago?) personal experience that the Literotica Toy Store does, indeed, ship discreetly!

It just came in a proirity mail cardboard box, with some sly return address.

My credit card was billed to the company they said it would be, unlike other toy stores.

Shipping was a little hefty, but it is worth it!!

You won't be disappointed! Or embarassed!

That cute postal person will never know that you are about to have a mind-blowing orgasm.

Good Luck!!!!!

I order toys online and it always cracks me up when the UPS guy (or girl) shows up with the box and asks me to sign for it. :D

Yep! It is always nice to recieve a packase.... ESPECIALLY in that case.

Can't help blushing and giggling a little, though

I'm not sure there's anything I enjoy more than my wife banging my ass with a toy (especially a vibrating one designed with an angle to hit the prostate) and a handjob at the same time.

I used to like fingers, but now we usually start with this really nice, super slim plug (narrowest I've ever seen, maybe 1/2" at the widest), then work up to a vibe or strapon.

Don't be ashamed of liking/loving the sensation. Lots of straight men love receiving anal...there's too many prostate/p-spot toys out there for my statement to be false.

Society may still consider it taboo...but its just another 'flavor' of sex. The tricky part is finding a lady who's into it too. My wife wasn't, but I once promised her if she let me have anal with her receiving, she could pay me back, since it 'was only fair.' Of course at that point, I'd been fingering a while, and knew it was a good time, and had an idea of how to be gentle enough with her so she'd have a positive first time experience. Well, she came, twice, from anal alone.

Needless to say, she and I are 150% sexually compatible ;)
