Interesting question.

If you are hitting the G-spot, then you will probably be hitting the prostate with the same position.

But since (I don't think that) males have an A-spot or C-spot, there would be some positions that stimulate a woman that do nothing for a guy.

In fact, there might be a position that is uncomfortable for a guy, where a gal is receiving stimulation on the A-spot, etc so the accompaning discomfort registers as stimulation, not pain. (Q.V. neat pain.)

These "new" ones have always been around. In a marketing type effort, someone has decided to make a name for themselves by "discovering" them and "documenting them". "Publish or Perish" can make an academic get pretty desperate...

Most women know where their cervix is, and when touching it is good and when touching it is bad. Now saying that a "good touch" is "hitting the C-spot" reminds me of a Yiddish word I can't spell when means "incredible gall". (Like most Yiddish words, it's best defined by example: a child kills both parents and the says, "Judge have mercy on me, I'm an orphan!")

The U-spot is near the urethral opening. Anyone want to say that it suddenly got more sensitive there or that they now pay more attention to it just because it now has a name? And did give it a name suddenly make it as sensative as the G-spot, thus deserving designation as a special "stop"?

So yes, the "new spots" are 99% marketing hooey. They're nothing that most women didn't already know. Marketing giving something a new name does not make it new at all.

PS: many can identify a distinct A-spot and some C-spot above the cervix. Being hard to reach, they don't always get special attention.

I'm pretty sure the topic of lubes has been covered extensively, but at the risk of PUNishment, I'll slip my recommedation in here.

I agree that Astroglide is not a great choice for anal play; it is better than spit or nothing though. I strongly prefer to use Slippery Stuff Gel, though any gel lubricant would probably be fairly equivalent. Gels tend to be thicker consistancy, which provides more cushioning, and they also tend to stay slippery longer than thinner lubes. A silicon-based lube (Wet Platinum, for example, which I use when fisting) will stay slippery the longest, but again it's usually fairly thin and thus does not provide the cushioning of a gel.

Bottom line: Unless you enjoy pain as part of your anal play, I strongly recommend using a gel lubricant like Slippery Stuff Gel.
