Another one bites the dust.....

LOL we are both proving Simon right.

I take the inverse view, completely. Democrats have gone far left and the only moderates, like Manchin, are few and far between. What yu see in the Dems is the Far Out with Stalin Left attacking the Extreme Left. There are no moderates, and the GOP has moved to the right, largely in reaction, because the GOP moderates have proved completely ineffectual in tempering the lunacy and outright fascism of the Democrats. Part of THAT issue is that Democrats in general believe any compromise solution with Republicans is just a step towards the eventual objective and they constantly shift the goalposts, leading those of us on the right to believe that any compromise with the Left is a waste of time, and we just need to roll back everything.

As for the media, you're blowing smoke out your ass. The MSM provides cover for the Democrats non-stop and the last 8 years has seen the credibility of the MSM dissipate completely. There is NO credible US media left. Most of the US MSM is nothing but a Democrat propaganda organ, and outlets like Breitbart make no pretense of neutrality whatsoever.
Noting to do with your wildly amusing response, but just for grins, read this article on blowing smoke 'up' your ass! As a med pro you might already be aware of it!

ROTFLMFAO, how bout the democratic party basically dismantled our election process, voting in a candidate through a primary election process to a selection process, democracy be damned. Harris has not amassed a single vote, and yet democrats and the propaganda media catapulted Harris from borderline removal from the ticket to a flip flopped illusionary obsession that Harris is suddenly the savior of the world. Democrat politicians are evil, antithetical threat to our republic. The whole Harris campaign platform is left of Karl Marx. Hopefully our American electorate will see through this socialist ruse. The saying goes * once you vote in socialism you can't vote it out *

I could list several extreme leftist things democrats *writ large* support. Why bother? What most people consider extreme left you people consider middle of the road. Voter ID to protect our voting election process as an example.

🙄

That ^ is ALL they got.

And that ^ means they got NOTHING.

😑

The Democratic Party’s leadership, membership, and policies, are NOT AT ALL extreme.

👍

The "republican" party’s leadership, membership, and policies are TOTALLY extreme.

👎

Hope that ^ helps.

Suck what up?

I love the popular vote comments. The US hasn't elected a prez on the popular vote since forever, and it ain't likely to start in your children's lifetimes. Except for that sterile one - no children. But hey, keep focusing on the irrelevant because 'Murrika!!!
Stand tall....well, as tall as you can given your 5'3" StayPuft Marshmallow Man frame... for Tyranny of The Minority!

Minority Rule 4 EVAR!

That's not what happened. Biden decided not to accept the nomination and endorsed his vice president. Delegates went with the wishes of the President and nominated Harris.

This didn't disenfranchise anyone.
That had me snorting me coffee. "Biden decided not to accept...." Bwwwaaaaahahahahahaha.

They figured he couldn't win after conning everyone to vote for him in the primaries. They knew he had dementia or Parkinsons or whatever it is they won't say he has but he has, but once they figured he couldn't win, they encouraged him to suicide by Presidential debate and threatened to invoke the 25th to force him out.

I can understand why they pushed Kamala, not to would have opened a whole big bunfight within the Party, but basically they fucked over all their own supporters to install her. I can absolutely understand why, but I find the whole thing completely hypocritical and very typical of the DP. LOL

Yes, people convinced him to step down. But he decided to.

The only option was Kamala, since people voted for Biden/Harris.

All patriotic Americans should do so as she is an enemy agent. She has openly said she represents Somalia.
She represents Somalians and others who make up her district. Representatives are supposed to do that.

That's not the purpose of my comment. My comment is meant to point out that the parties, without question, have become relatively more extreme than in the past. 40 years ago some Democratic Senators were more conservative than some Republican Senators. That's no longer true. All Democratic Senators are to the left in terms of voting patterns of all Republican Senators. This is the first time this has been true in American history. The parties are more ideologically divided than before. The Democratic Party is considerably more left than it was under Bill Clinton. The Republican Party is considerably more right than it was under George H.W. Bush.

I regard this as a bad thing, because it makes cooperation more difficult.

Both parties have become more extreme in their conduct and procedural behavior. Unlike in the past, Democratic Senators will almost uniformly not support any Republican nominees to the Supreme Court, and Republican Senators will not support any Democratic nominees to the Supreme Court. The sense of reciprocity, which I think is essential to a functioning democracy, has eroded.
Republicans changed Supreme Court nominations forever when they foisted "Justice" Clarence Thomas on the Supreme Court.

Newt Gingrich and Frank Luntz poisoned Congress together with their gerrymandering negating the need for compromise as well as introducing "scorched earth rhetoric" into Congressional hearings.
