The bin men were headed for a bronze today. My neighbour told me they didn't arrive till 3pm

We've got a Perseid shower tonight
No, it's not that kind of shower

Oh I forgot about that. Might have a wander along the lane later if it stays clear.
My bin lorry has started arriving at 7:30! What the shit is that about?! I never remember the night before and am always having to lug the stupid bin out still in my jammies

Thanks for the info; just looked it up and they reckon northern lights might be visible tonight too in north & Scotland. Might see both together...

Apparently we're looking for a big W in the sky. It has some fancy Latin name like Casipia Major? I'd have stuck with 'Big W' in the spirit of Boaty McBoatface.

There were some last night. I saw 5 before I went to bed.

We won't see the northern lights. But the meteors should be more visible tonight especially in the north.

I'm tired.

Perseus saved Cassiopeia's daughter from the monster... mind you, she and her husband had chained her to a rock as a sacrifice... excellently depicted in Ray Harryhausen's classic, Clash Of The Titans.

The daughter was Andromeda... now known for the galaxy (not the chocolate variety).

It's so much cooler now! The day of the wedding was the last hot day. The forecast was showing 30°c+ weather for a long time but then overnight it changed and now it's 18°c at the moment and it's beautiful.
