I love Robins. They are so gregarious. Mine was perched on the fence watching me fight with the ivy

waiting for you to disturb a tasty snacky snack for it! My one watches me taking photos as i might disturb insects... or have a bag of food (as it now knows)

Is this the same as ortolan? It is a delicacy in much of southern Europe. The practice is pretty cruel for the bird and I think illegal nowadays. I believe than when eating them you’re supposed to cover your head with a cloth, so god can’t see what you are doing!

I missed the paras in the morning but caught most of the road race in the afternoon. It was a thrilling last 10k and what a result!

the best won... i am a big fan of Lotte, saw her get a track gold last year. She played it brilliantly. Glad there is a worthy champion for another year.
