My mate and I both got one for xmas. My parents were in front of his and got the last adapter in the shop. He was round my house Xmas day evening as he ran out if batteries

I can remember the graphics on my Acorn Electron (and my Atari 2600) were awful, but the gameplay was so much better than you get these days!
Have you seen Dara O'Brian's sketch about playing a modern game (think it's call of duty or something like that) it's very funny!
