Swifts... bigger, scythe like wings. only stop flying to nest. eat, sleep, mate on the wing. Generally, all dark brown.

Swallows have a pale belly with reddish edge. wings not as curved and often have streamer like tails. often congregate on phone wires.

Swifts also have long, forked tails... arc shaped wings and all dark and it's a Swift. also, they are quite fast,
