Yep, one of our support workers is ex military and we find many who come to us are extremely complex

The complex reasons why they go into the millitary, then the family of the army, the routine, training and discpline then suddenly they have do it all for themselves and the routine is removed. No wonder its a struggle!

Maybe, I guess I’m used to it as my wirking life was retail. I work for a small homeless charity and food bank now, so, always in demand

Like any job, you get hardened to it.. but there’s an enormous amount of joy too.
