Anyone from the UK?

You’ll be off zooming down the piste later today. Somewhat jealous even though I first skied last year.
No, won't.
It will be round four when I arrive at the village. Then I will walk up to the hut. Then I will walk down to the village again to get the gear. It will be round six when I'm done, give it take. Then I'm done for the day. I had less then for hours of sleep last night.
But tomorrow I will. As early as possible. A piste starts right at the hut. From there I will go really UP. Maybe to the Ifen, many to the Kanzelwand or Fellhorn. I don't know yet.

I've spent a lot of time in Austria in the summer, traveling on my motorbike in the alps. But I've never visit that corner of it.
I was planning next summer to go further west than usual in Germany on the way home. There are parts I haven't seen that I'm curious about. Maybe exit through here on the way?

I envy those with the coordination to ski. I'm more like Bambi on the ice

It's a very beautiful valley with just a single road in. Fun fact: one can only enter it on road from Germany. From Austria you have to walk.
They were part of the German phone network until recently and didn't use Schilling but Mark.
So, in short, yes, it's worth a visit but it will be a detour.
If you like riding mountain roads try the western black forest. The east is less steep.
If you're on the way to Britain and have some time, also ride through the Palatinate Forest and the Eiffel and Hunsrück area. But being warm clothes and reindeer I rainwear.

I see that on google maps now. I am in the early start of the plans so far and this could be a detour to stay for a night. It depends on what time it is when I'm there.
It is the Black Forrest and Eiffel that I'd like to see. Trier is one goal. And then aim for Hameln on small roads on the way to Sweden.
