Yes, and a nice companion book "Empires of the Steppes".

Interestingly the Durant's first book "Our Oriental Heritage" did make a factual error, identifying the Yueh-Chi (subsequently Kushans) as Hunno-Mongolian instead of Indo-Aryan. Then again, that book was written in 1935.

However, they were remarkably prescient about the looming war with Japan. I like it that they left their last comments unrevised in future editions.

The book that I found most surprising in interest was The Renaisance (Vol V). I had expected to have to drag ass all through the artsy stuff (more into the political-military side). However it suceeded in interesting me in the art of the period. I also found the di Medici's very interesting. If they only had 50 more years, they might have actually succeeded in establishing a Florentine republic.

Today really was a nice day for the end of September ... and tomorrow is supposed to be 80 degrees ... I like this kinda weather ....

the weather doesn't bother me but i am going to be able to take it easty after running a small errand in the morning. just wish i knew what was wrong with me and how the doc is palnning on fixing it

Sometimes I think doctors don't really know anything .. they just take "educated guesses" and get it right about 40% of the time

thanks haz would hate to think i might need surgery thinking it was the appendix was bad enough now there is the thought it might be gal or kidney stones

My brother just had the stones surgery ... its outpatient and is not as bad as you think ....

me to i hate being off work this long the fact that i am not getting paid for the time off work doesn't help any either espcialy when i have bills i have to pay in the next few weeks that will be more than i have in the bank

Thanks Whspr been tring to take it as easy as possible and not over doing it. Called the doctor this afternoon and they still have no results back from the lasts tests.

Pittsburgh is my specialty becuz it isn't too far from me....that is why I can't understand how I get lost in canton....LoL...oh well...that is me!!!
