Arabian Nights...

Rei: i swished my tiger like tale in a nonchalont way.
"Yes i do mr.lokken but i wont tell you unless the price right. and as for you young lady. you wouldnt happen to be the Infamous Vixen would you????" i held the paper tight in my claw like hand.
"because if you are then i have found the person i was looking for. You see i have heard tales of your exploits MISS vixen...from a very close friend of mine, prehaps you know him? his name is Rolando."
i knew she knew him but the question is wether or not shes smart enough to not talk about this in public.

Lokken calmly walked over to the tiger, grabbed him by the neck and pushing his back into a wall. At the same time he made magic chains around his paws and wrists." You will tell me now or I will decapitate you", he shouted pulling out an extremely large sword.

Rei: i smirked at this fool. alright i guess its no harm telling him where ussin is..
"alright Gruesome, near the center of the town there is a prominent housing complex. he will be staying on the top floor of that building. in the 2nd room from south-east. now will you be so kind as to let me go..."

Saddam Ussin stood out on top of his balcony looking over the city of Baghdad, FROM HIS PALACADE JUST OUTSIDE OF THE CITY LIMITS ON A HILL!!! (pay attention to the thread ROLAND)
He wondered if the scroll had been delivered. His thoughts quickly turned to Bella. This fair-skinned beauty completely captured his attentions. Never before had he been affected by a woman like this. He wanted out of this life and so did she...
"If I can get her out of this place like I promised before she finds out who I am, and what I've done, perhaps she will allow me to travel with her

ooc:sorry darb..=)
Ic: Rei: that dark lummox stomped off in quite the huff i wiped off me shirt and took the magic tracker he placed on me and stuck it on some one else
"now that that little peice of nuttyness is over lets get back to business MISSS vixen".......

OOC: He was looking for the prince, not the lord of the underground. ;)

Bella:

Maybe it wasn't the smartest thing to go out at night like she had. Maybe these people were crazy. Whatever the case, she had to find Saddam. "You were right you know, He is located in his strong hold at the center of the city, but he won't be able to get in. Only expected guests or diplomats can get in, and then only if it is to the prince's gain." Now they were all looking at her like she really was crazy. She turned to the woman. "Miss Vixen, was it? Please don't look at me like that. I really do need to find Saddam Ussin. It is of the utmost importance." Bella lowered her voice to a whisper, "You can see that I do not fit in here. Will you help me?"

Rei:"ahem..." this isnt the place to have this kind of discussion...
"miss vixen, and miss bella.i do belive this isnt the safest of places to carry on a conversation.Do either of you have a residance that u can get to in under an hour??"

OOC: That dark lummox stomped off in quite the huff. This is your last chance Roland, I am getting mad. I told you not to do that anymore.

Story:

Lokken saddled up along with his troops and rode to the prince's palace. As he pulled up gaurds ran out to ask him who he was. In a nonchalant kind of way, he answered," I am Lokken, Lord of the country of Taros, which resides in the continent of Europe.

Vixen glared at Rei suspiciously. "Sure, I've heard of Rolando... but there's no way he'd have anything to do with the likes of me. As for finding somewhere to talk... I don't do business with high handed ruffian's. I had a deal going and you are currently interrfering with it. If you don't give me back the scroll DON'T expect any kind of friendship with me." Her eyes glinted with venom.

She turned to Bella. "I don't know who you are, but you clearly are way out of your depth here. I can take you to someone who can get you close to the Lord... but whether he'll see you or not is anyone's guess." Vixen held out her hand to Rei and motioned that she expected him to return the scroll. Rei grinned at her nocholantly and handed her the paper. Vixen didn't realise he had switched it with a copy already. Vixen nodded in thanx and pulled open the Tavern door. Outside Abusalim stood waiting. He smiled as she emerged. She placed the scroll in his hand. Bella followed Vixen out the door and Abusalim arched a brow. "We need to come with you, this one thinks that Ussin will see her."

The club came down, hard. Garret blocked it with his broasword, having to use both hands, and all his strength to keep the thing from smashing his head in. The warlock took a step back, bringing the club up high for another swing.
Garret was ready this time, he quickly did a forward sumersault, remembering his teachings as a young lad. Unfortunately, without practice on real enemies, his experience didn't mean too much. He crashed right into the legs of the warlock. He could smell the putrid stench that was oozing off of the monster. He grinned evily as the club went down.
It was at a bad angle, so it didn't hurt asd bad as he would have expected, but it did land squarely in his somach. Garret doubled over, losing his sword.
"Wow," he thought to himself, what a way to go. The warlock raised the club one last time. Garret, still wincing from the pain, wasn't about to give up, he reached under his cloak, revealing a battle axe. It wouldn't be his weapon of choice for a fight like this, but still it was better than nothing.
As the club went down, Garret flung the axe at the Warlock, aiming for the head. It hit the club itself, instead. The axe broke in two, as the club split apart. Two weapons at once, Garret was onto a new record.
The warlock was very angry, apparently that club meant something to him. He kicked Garret in the leg. A fresh burst of pain hit him. Garret rolled over, trying to get away, he knew he couldn't though. Quickly Garret threw out a small bag of powder. It wasn't magic or anything like that, Garret hadly knew any magic, it was just a smoke powder. It made the enemy blind for a few seconds, and a few seconds was all he needed.
The small road filled with smoke, the warlock, obviously losing sight of his enemy get very angry. He started running through the smoke, arms out wailing at nothing.
Garret stood up, still in pain. He tested the leg that was kicked. It wasn't broken, but from the pain Garret knew it wasn't far off. He put all his weight on the one good foot, keeping the other down only for balance. He started feeling faint, black spots suddenly entered his vision.
"A few more moments," he thought.
His stomach just wouldn't let up. The pain almost made him double over agian. He had to stay up though, had to. Garret reached under his cloak again, as the smoke filled alley was begin to clear again. Garret could see the warlock was off the other way, looking for him. That was lucky, if he had found him in the smoke.
Garret couldn't think about that right now, he was looking for another weapon. Just as the warlock looked tyowards him, Garret felt the handle of his longsword. It was not as wide or big as a broasword, but still able to take care of this monster.
Garret unsheathed it, letting it gleam in the light. The warlock, who was running at full speed towards him, ut of weapons, and obvious not that willing to risk his life, ran into a back alley.
Garret stood there, alone. His stomach, crying out for mercy, and his leg about to fall off from the pain, he finally let out a big sigh. Garret was about to put the longsword back in it's sheath when he heard footsteps behind him. Did the warlock sneak around him, trying to catch him by suprise?
Garret, obviously not ready for battle, stood and awaited the person, no two people, just the same. Waited and wondered.
Finally, out of the black, they came. It wasn't the warlock, it was...
"Oh thank goodness you are here." Garret felt releaved. Then the black spots returned. Garret couldn't help it this time, he was going under. There, in the middle of the street, longsword still in hand, Garret passed out.

OOC: I am using the vikings version of a warlock, which means a kind of troll or ogre. Actually the technical meaning of a guardian of a bridge or door. Just think of a guy who eats goats trying to pass bridges. Thanks everyone

Lokken wlaked into the prince's throne room," Ah, the prince, I have an intrigueing proposition for you, do you wish to hear it", he said grinning maliciously and holding his sword's handle.

Vixen looked down in surprise at the fallen figure laying before her. Bella clearly of a softer heart than hers immediately knelt beside him with concern. Her dainty fingers ineffectively prodding to see if he was okay. Sighing with frustration Vixen knelt down and pushed her aside. "Let me have a look," without any pretense at being pleasant she rolled him over and he groaned but didn't regain conciousness. She ran her hands over his body and checked his legs. His body jerked when she gripped his ankle. Not broken, fractured maybe she thought. "We'll have to get him somewhere so I can get him out of these clothes. I won't be able to tell how bad he is until then." Abdusalim picked dragged the man up and flung him over his shoulder. "Lead on my rose," he smiled. Vixen growled something to herself and stalked off towards the Eastern side of the city with Bella scampering to keep up.

Bella:

The stronghold was something to wonder at. It was almost as big as the palace where she lived, but was a hundred times more elegant. "Is this where Saddam lives?"

Vixen looked at her like she was some naive little girl, which in many ways she was. "Of course, who else but the great Saddam Ussin could afford something like this? Now, since you seem so confident he will see you, you lead the rest of the way. I personally don't want to be the one to become the example for others."

Bella marched ahead, right up to one of the guards at the gate. "Hello sir, my name is Bella Trudo, and I have come to see Saddam, now be a good man and tell him that my friends and I wish to have words with him." The guard looked down at her, before disappearing to inform his master of her arrival.

Rei: i had followed them to ussins palce. i quickly leaped over the walls of the castle in almost cat-like fashon.i walked into saddams meeting room where i found him glad to see me.
"Saddam old friend, how goes the business? its seems to be going well enough" i motioned around the highly decorated room "in precisely 1 minute your guard will tell you someone named Bella is here to meet you. tell him to send her and her companions in. i will hide in the rafters. you ask that clumsy henchmen of yours if anything went wrong. he should say a tigerman attacked him.." i smiled and showed him the copy of the letter
"I think your men are getting soft ussin and i do belive its time for a wake up call. ah here is the guard at the door now. i will be in the rafters when you need me." climbing nimbley up into the dark rafters i waited for the right time

It felt like he was riding a camel. Up and down, up and down. Over and over again. Garret could swear he didn't even own a camel, much less ridden on one.
Garret opened his eyes slowly. It was dark, and he wasn't riding, he was being carried, by a really big Arabian. Garret didn't like this, but being as the condition that he was in, he really didn't have a choice.
"Vixen," he cried, his voice was cracked. He hadn't had anything to drink in a while, and he was parched, fighting warlocks can do that to a person.
"So, you are awake." she came over, it seemed as if they were walking somewhere, but Garret didn't know where.
"Am I..." Garret felt a cold chill all of the sudden, he didn't have the heart to finish it.
"You are fine, you ankle isn't looking too good, but it isn't broken. I don't think anyway. I am going somewhere so I can examine you better."
Garret didn't question Vixen's ways, thats usually because he liked the results.
"I have... a message... for... ..." the world was started to fade in again, Garret could see the stars start to circle.
"Yes," Vixen listened.
"Message... for... you..." Garret slumped back in the arabian's shoulders. Garret started having another dream, and darn it all if he wasn't on a camel again.

" So let's hear the offer, Lokken", the prince said in a bored tone. " My wonderful offer is that you relinquish the magical orb of light that you stole. Now if you will be so kind as to hand it over... or maybe I should just take it myself. Also, some woman named Bella, she is at least part European and I would like to know she is and who her parents are, I think I shall take her back with me, if she wishes, of course," he said in an inspired tone." One other thing, don't try to stop me," he said, seeing the disgusted look on the prince's face.

Ussin was a little surprised to see Rei in his rivate chambers. But it was good to see his old friend. After Rei told him of the incident there was a knock at the door. He looked up to see Rei making his way high into the rafters of his opulent room.
"Enter"Ussin boomed in his large baritone voice.
"Saddam, there is a young lady who calls herself Bella at the front gate with some others. Pardon, Your Highness, but she said you requested her audience."
A smile came across Ussin's face at the thought of seeing Bella again.
"Bring them to me"commanded Ussin. He made his way to his large bejewled throne and awaited their arrival.

Bella:

They waited at the gate for what seemed like forever, but soon the guard returned and motioned for them to follow him. Vixen looked a little stunned. No one ever had that much ease getting in to see him.

"See, I told you he would see me. We're friends."

Vixen almost told her that Saddam Ussin didn't have any friends, but she held her tongue.

The guard escourted them through the stronghold, and Bella could only stair at all the riches Saddam possed. He must have spent a great deal of his lifetime collecting them. The guard, who didn't seem to speak unless necessary, pointed at a door, then turned on his heal and left. Bella huffed and pushed the door open, and smiled when she saw Saddam sitting in his throne, looking like a contented cat. They were friends and he had offered to take her home. For that she would be eternally greatful.

Her step-brother seemed to think she was some piece of meat. He looked at her in ways that made her distinctly uncomfortable. He had tried to marry her off countless times, but fortunately she had managed to avoid that. She had no wish to marry those rotten old men he was aquaited with. She had met Saddam one day in the market place, and they had been friends ever since.

"Bella, my fair-skinned beauty" Ussin said standing and coming to her. He took her delicate hands in his and leaned down and kissed her cheek gently.
"Never before have I seen such beauty and innocence in one person." Ussin said bowing his head.
"I see that you've brought some friends with you"Ussin stated looking over the strangers with a very cautious eye.
"Please, come," he motioned for them all to enter and sit at the table in the middle of the floor.
They came in and sat with Bella and Ussin on one side and the strangers on the other.
Ussin snapped his fingers and the doors from behind them swung open and two scantly clad females in sheer clothing came in the door carrying trays with an assortment of food on top of them. They set them down in the middle of the table, bowed before Ussin and then quickly scampered out of the room.
"So Bella, please introduce me to your friends."
Ussin glanced up into the rafters catching a gleam from Rei's yellow eyes.

"Okay, your highness", said the prince," here's the orb, Bella's parents are the same as mine, and she is probably at her good friend Sadam Ussin's palace". "And where would this be, you fool", Lokken said in a non-pleased manner." If you let me keep the orb, I will tell you where this is," the prince continued, now smiling, but quickly his look changed when Lokken answered him by saying," You are a fool! I will the orb with you, but I will return for it, now before I get angry, where is Sadam's palace??!!" Lokken exclaimed irratably." It's near the outskirts of town on a hill", the prince said, looking distressed.

Garret shook his head, getting the cobwebs out of it. The brightness of the room had hit him a little too hard.
Garret looked around, trying to get his surroundings. He seemed to be at a dinnertable. There was Vixen, and Bella, and a few other strange people he had never seen before.
"What a way to wake up,"Garret muttered to himself.
He shifted his attention to his foot. The pain was down to a dull roar, but it was far from being ok. Garret was just glad it wasn't broken.
The pain in his stomach was finally gone. Garret cursed the filthy whore who gave brith to that damn warlock.
Garret checked his gear. The longsword was in it's place, back in his sheath. His battleaxe was gone though, as was his broadsword. He loved that broadsword, Garret cursed the warlock again.
A voice from his head spoke up, "If you hadn't stolen that magical pendant from him, he wouldn't have tried to kill you."
Garret nodded, knowing the voice was right. Still, he had the pendant, and his health, sort of. Most of all, however, he had Vixen, and the message would finally get to her.

Garret patiently waited for the dinner to be over, so he could finally get to talk to her.

As Vixen sat down she had the strangest feeling. She looked left to right and frowned. Something... something was watching them. She noticed Saddam glance up briefly and her eyes flashed. Carefully as if she was just stretching she glanced up also and saw the yellow eyes gleaming. "Damn!" She thought to herself... that tiger/person. She should have known better than to trust someone with a reputation like Saddam Ussin.

She poked at her food as Bella introduced them. It was clear that Saddam didn't feel that their brief friendship with his Bella made them necessarily trustworthy in his eyes. Vixen noticed the young man had woken. She flashed him a look that said she would talk to him soon.

"Well, Saddam Ussin," she lowered her head towards him respectfully. "We had only planned to deliver the lady to you as per her request, now that we have done this I think we..." she indicated Garret and herself, not knowing Abdusalim well enough to speak for him, "should be on her way."

She stood and helped Garret to his feet carefully so that he needn't lean on his bad leg. Two of Saddam's guards quickly stopped them from moving futher by flanking them. Vixen's muscles tensed and her eyes glittered as she appraised Saddam. Saddam smiled at her, "Ms Vixen, I'm afraid it won't be that simple, you see, as you now know that the scroll was meant for me, I can't afford to have you running around telling people."

Vixen remained impassive. "I didn't think you had the scroll at all, as far as I know," she nodded towards Abdusalim, "he still has it." Saddam smiled confidently, "ah no my sweet Vixen, I already have the scroll, it was important enough that I couldn't afford to have it filter through normal channels, I had my best... man... ensure it's safe passage to me."

Vixen didn't look surprised at this news. "Who?... cat-man up there?" She jerked her thumb upwards. Saddam hesitated, but recovered with a smile. "Well, seems I underestimated you slightly, but no matter, yes as a matter of fact, you didn't realise he switched scrolls on you?"
Vixen growled something very unlady like under her breath. Bella gasped in shock at the words suddenly a little afraid of the woman even if she did help her get to Saddam.

Abdusalim

Abdusalim was ready to spring into action.
"Before I've been out of the action like an old cammel, but now I'm ready to spill anyones soul on the sand of the dessert with you, precious one. Saddam, like the scorpion, we can send you with us to Alah's embrace..."

Ussin smiled at the feistiness of the three strangers.
"I think you have mistaken my intentions, Miss Vixen. I mean you know harm whatsoever."
Saddam bows his head to them in a submissive nature.
"The scroll is precious to me. More precious than anything I can remember" Ussin said looking at Bella, "when I said I can't afford for you to leave, I didn't mean that I was going to harm you or your friends in anyway."
Ussin looked into Vixen's eyes her body began to relax a little bit.
"Rei, come down here" Ussin said
The cat-man leapt gracefully from rafter to rafter landing gently next to Ussin.
"This is Rei, and old friend of mine that I asked to make sure that scroll came to me"
Rei smiled a suspicious smile.
"He was never going to harm you, though sometimes he plays a little rough. Miss Vixen, Abdusalim, and..."ussin looked at the other person questioningly
"Garret" the man said
"and garret" ussin continued " I would like for you to stay here in my palacade this evening. No, I insist, just this one night. You will be free to leave at sunrise, if you wish, but tonight you will be my 'guests'." Ussin snapped his fingers and 15 more guards entered the room carrying large scimitars.
"Now if you will be seated, we will enjoy each others company!" Ussin stated, motioning his hand for the three to sit back down at the table.

Vixen hesitated, clearly weighing up her options. Truth be told although she was attracted to Abdusalim she hadn't fought with him before, so she couldn't count on his prowess, though truely he looked to be more than capable. As for Garret, he was injured and clearly needed her attention before he could do any serious damage.

Also, she considered, glancing at the extra 15 guards, Ussin wasn't the sort to take risks. He had more than anticipated any attempts Vixen might have imagined would get her out of here. Vixen did the only thing she could, she smiled. "Well, now... " she looked around at the guards surrounding the room, "of course with an invitation like that it would be most... unlady like of me to refuse. I pressume you have rooms available for us?"
Ussin smiled at her suddenly charming demeaner. "But of course Lady Vixen... my house... as they say... is your house."
Vixen's eyes hardened but the smile remained. "Then I thank you most kindly for your hospitality Ussin."

She ignored the prepared food as a precaution and picked up an apple munching on it as she appraised Rei standing beside Ussin. He was a predator that one. Rough my ass, he wouldn't think twice about killing, I wonder why he didn't kill me straight away? She frowned as she thought about that. She was still pissed that he had managed to switch the scroll on her. Damn, she must be slipping.

She noticed Garret wince in pain. His leg, she realised, must be causing him trouble. She found a small pre-prepared herbal pouch that would dull the pain without dulling his mind. She sprinkled some carefully in a mug of water and passed it to him. She glanced at it and then at his leg hoping he would understand what she was offering him. Thankfully he took the cup and drank deeply. He instantly appeared more alert and less pained. Vixen knew it was only a temporary fix and that she really need to look at his leg soon.
