Jake
Jake woke to a screaming headache, his body acheing. He felt the movement of the horse underneath him, trying to focus his mind he tried to get his bearings. He saw Contra just ahead of him, he looked wounded and tired. Jake looked around for the others, and caught a glimps of the fires left of him, and the shadows of two people moveing in that direction.
Jake weakly spoke, " where are we. . . where are we going." Contra pulled his horse to a stop and turned to Jake. A look of suprise and relief came over Contra's face. Contra assured him everything was fine and that the two of them were heading to a nearby tavern. When Jake asked about the others, Contra again assured him all was well, and that they too would be joining them latter. As Contra turned back around and began leading them on to the tavern, Jake couldn't help but feel a sense of danger inside. Something wasn't right to him, those fires and those two shadows.
Jake looked over his horse he was ridding but didn't see any of his equipment, nor a Hally for him to use. What Jake did see was a fine Elfin sword, the design was of great craftmanship, the blade shined, covered in runes. Jake slowly sliped off the horse, grabing the sword as well, and proceded to make his way towards the fires. He looked over his shoulder and noticed Contra kept moving on. He smiled, knowing that he had sliped away without being noticed.
As Jake made his way through the forest he felt the pains of his wounds, and severl times he found himself stoping to catch his breath. As he slowly and quietly as possable made his way through the woods he heard voices. Alarmed, Jake stoped, adjusting his ears to the direction of the voices. He made his way slowly in the direction, blade in hand, heart beating through his chest. As he neared he could make out the figures of three people, one of witch seemed to be pointing a crossbow at the other two. Jake couldn't tell who was who, but was sure the person with the crossbow was not being friendly. Jake slowly moved around, positioning himself behind the man. Jake slowly emerged from behind the man, blade drawn forward. " I don't think its nice to be pointing things at people" said Jake in a cocky voice. Jake took a few steps forward, with a grin on his face he said, " In fact I think ot's quite rude, so how about droping your weapons before someone gets hurt." Inside though Jake was the one hurting, his own wounds were sending shockwaves of pain through him. He grited his teeth, grasping the sword with all his strength, he knew he had to remain calm and not show his weakness.
