Hi gang...haven't been here in a while, but i thought you'd be able the only people i knew who would appreciate something i heard on the radio the other day.

i was listening to the Andrew Tallman show on 1360, and they were talking about songs that sounded like they either could or couldn't have been written in Arizona.

Here's the list... and then some that i came up with on my own.

Could have:
Hot Hot Hot
I'm ridin through the desert on a horse with no name
Walkin on the Sun
Walkin on Sunshine
The Heat is On
Some Like it Hot
Water Runs Dry
Cruel Summer
Summer in the city
Leaving on a Jet Plane
Pink Houses
Have You Ever Seen the Rain - CCR
Summertime Blues
Should I Stay or Should I Go

Could NOT have:
Winter Wonderland
Cold as Ice - Foreigner
November Rain - Guns 'n Roses
I'm From the Land of Ice and Snow
Stand in the Rain - Superchick
Flood - Jars of Clay
Praise You in the Storm - Casting Crowns
Sunshine on my Shoulder Makes Me Happy
Who Will Stop the Rain - Credence Clearwater
Cool and Green and Shady - John Denver
Under the Boardwalk (by the Sea)
Tomorrow (The Sun'll Come Out)
Take It Easy - Eagles
I Can See Clearly Now

Ones i came up with:
Life is a Highway - Tom Cochrane
Bring on the Rain - JoDee Messina
I Wish It Would Rain - Phil Collins
Never Alone - Barlow Girl
The Land Down Under - Men at Work

Anybody else have any????

Have a great weekend everybody. :D

So very, very unfair!! I must toil away at work on Monday. Oh, the humanity! :catroar:

Ahhh one of the simple pleasures of being employed by the government 12 paid holidays a year...... but then again if I were in the private sector I may need some "corporate training" :D

Hello Sunshine! You in Tucson, too?

Hi all, and yep I'm down in Tucson. ;)

:D As long as it's not for the BIA (Indian Affairs). Columbus day is "Invasion Day", so they generally skip that one :D Then again, there are some perks to training now and then

happy weekend all!!!! going racing tomorrow night out here on the river! everyone enjoy the weekend.

Holiday?? What is that??? I haven't had a holiday off in hmmmm....quite a few years...lol...either worked them at Harrah's or Big 5, or, now with the state, in a 24/7 location, what is a holiday?

Those of you who have it off, have a tremendous one!

i agree! i'm taking a trip on my long weekend. just a little over nighter to flagstaff on my bike. for the hell of it i guess. noone else wanted to go. lol. a little bit of bar crawling for me tonight i guess

3 -day weekend

Now that I work for the County, I get these 3-day weekends off :)

Used to work a job that required me to work on all of these three day weekends. :(

Football, RACE DAY, and I get to chase my woman around the house naked for 3 days lol

Safe weekend for everyone!

:)

Well its almost over, a great weekend, enjoyed some beautiful weather while in Scottsdale, and how about those DBacks sweeping the Cubbies, sorry Cubbie fans, and what a shake up in the college football standings "Stanford beats USC!! :nana: " and the Trojans were favored by 38 points I guess someone forgot to tell The Cardinal........ ssshh lets not speak of the Cats....
And what an absolutely beautiful day in the Old Pueblo, I spent all day outside and actually got a sunburn, hmmmmm doesnt seem right but here it is fall and I get sun burnt.....
