And I do still own that little patch of desert up off I-40 for retirement purposes..

I wish I could afford to.. but the promotion I'm working on getting certified for isn't available long distance.. lol. I would have to drop back to agent and work the nasty hours to work from home and move back to Havasu..

And while the sun and sky are much clearer and brighter in Havasu the men of Texas are so much warmer to me..

My heart still needs to heal stronger before I can face live back in the desert..

Nephew is racing in Blythe next weekend! Go cheer him on for me! Lime green 26!

i have an eliptical that sits in the corner mocking me! Still too hot to get out anywhere beyond the pool!

I've lived in so many places where most the year one couldn't spend much time outside - too damn cold, too damn humid, too many damn mosquitoes... While the heat entraps one for a few months, the rest of the year is absolutely glorious. I think it is starting to penetrate into my mind that I actually live here!
