Arnold Lane's Paintbox

Alright, thats it, fly me over, arnold. :D I want to see those sites.

How far do you live from where you are vacationing???

It's about 200 miles (and a ferry ride) from where I live. I'd like to move a bit closer though, my job is the only thing keeping me where I am at the moment :)

Well, love, I'm going to get off this computer for a bit. When I come back, I'll look for you to see if you are still on.

Great thread Arnold :) ... keep taking those gorgeous pics ;)

Hmm. I'm in a bit of a funny mood today.

Feeling a bit homesick after my holiday, and I'm thinking of moving back home, but I need a job in place before I go anywhere. Problem is that jobs are rather hard to come by back home. Either that, or I move somewhere that has better job prospects, start saving, then move south at a later date when things pick up a bit.

My three grandparents, and my mum, are all poorly and I want to spend as much time with them as I can. I'm thinking the second option would be easiest, but it doesn't help my homesickness much, and there's still a chance that I'll be stuck miles away if they take a turn for the worst.

I just get the feeling that, at 27, I need to make a decision one way or another. But I'm really not sure of the best way to do things :(

Whaddup honey? Sorry to read the above post....it sucks to feel really homesick, but having poorly members of the family can't be very nice....I often wonder and worry about my elderly grandparents back in Phili too, that one day, they wont be there and I won't get to say goodbye to them in person with them being so far away.

You'll know soon enough what the right thing to do for yourself and the family....even if it means making sacrifices in the end.

Hugs goes out to you.

Thanks BB. I'm just sounding off a bit... I'll be alright.

It must be harder for you, at least mine are only counties away. Regarding being away when you lose someone, I've been there before, with my big sister. The last time I saw her was at my wedding in 2006. Five months later she passed away aged 34. I guess I'm worried that it'll happen again :(

I've been deliberating over this since the separation. I really don't know what to do for the best :(

Can you work your way south toward home, arnold???

I'm not really sure if I can... I'm stuck on the east coast right now, you could draw a line west-by-south-west to where I want to be. Trouble is you have London right in the middle. And that's not somewhere I'd like to be working :(

I've thought of asking for a transfer to an office a bit closer, but they'd still need to find space for me :(

Well, I hope you can come up with a solution to your problem, arnold. I wish I could help in someway. :(

I just need to keep applying for jobs in the south. Everything else from there is just luck, I suppose. Unless there's anything about where you are? :p

It isn't much arnold I know... but please accept a big comforting hug from all of us and hope things move in your favour soon...

((( Hugggsss )))
