Art for Arts Sake, Not Necisarily Erotic in Nature

Just kicking this thread to see if there's any air still in the tires.

Recently some of my works from when I was a punk have popped up. My mother and father, though seperated by great distance, have kept a number of pieces that I did when I was younger.

Here's one that I did when I was 17 (now 34). Looking back I think I can honestly say that this was one of the first concepts that would develop into my "Legacy Of Judas" story (found in my sig line).

In another thread there was an ongoing discussion about the symbolisms that artists will incorporate into their works. I was adamant that symbolisms of any kind were NOT something that I ever did. After looking at this piece from my first childhood, I can see that I'll have to eat some crow. There's a friggin' ton of symbolism in this one.

I think that a little of us always ends up in the work...it's one of the ways that symbolism occurs. Our subconcious tends to tell people about us in our art. :D

I love your tattoo art, HnH! First rate.

Ok, I'll put up two photos for the sake of it. :)

First one is taken early one morning when I was waiting for the tram. The second was taken in October. I was hunting for fall images.

That second one! o_O
