Maybe it was you......I'll just have to pounce up in your lap and find out, won't I?

Bloody lame, aren't they?

I had an email from Lew earlier, sending me a voice file, but he forgot to attach it.

He hasn't been around since. Maybe later he'll come back on.

Yes, Gauche, send them on over!!!

Did you catch my "dialects" attempt earlier in the thread? I saw your post, asking for us Brits to record some. I tried, but it isn't great. This thread moves so quick, though, it's probably got buried.

Lou

Downloaded it, loved it. One of my favourite tracks.

You have a lovely singing voice.

My apologies for not responding.

Mat :rose:

Loulou, yes thanks, but I still mostly love your larf, very operatic. This is such a fun thread.

Carl, your singing voice is very fine, thank you for posting.

Where's Mlle? She could post an aria.

Gauche, you could do your Robeson bit ;) .

I agree.
Big thanks to McKenna for the idea, and to Mack and Lou for all their work on creating links for us luddites.

Its been a great way to pass a Sunday, in between writing.

I have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to everyone. I think it's about half and half of what I expected to hear.

Lou, I do think you sound like Lady Di, but maybe that's because the accent is so similar.

CharleyH, that was NOT what I was expecting, but it does fit! Whoowee!

Door, love the accent!

Carl, <fanning myself>, I'm a sucker for guys with accents. I could listen to you all day!

Perdita, I had a difficult time making your voice out... the recording kept cutting out on me. :(

EL, your is one I didn't expect what I heard. I thought of you as sounding more like Lou (don't ask me why, I have no clue, lol.)

Dranoel, your voice could melt ice... (and that's a good thing  )

CD, you can read me a bedtime story any time!

Matt, for some reason, I was expecting more of an accent... again, no clue why. I'd bet you could make alot of people swoon!

Og, you sounded exactly like I expected you to. I can just see you on a stage reciting Shakespeare, lol.

Joe, nice to hear a male Southern drawl... when I say I am a sucker for men with accents, Southern ones are included!

Remec, very nice. :)

Tolyk, your accent came out more in the beginning of your clip than at the end.

Cloudy, oh wow, that is not what I was expecting, which is weird since I know what people from Alabama sound like. Talk about sultry!

McKenna, you have such a sweet voice!

Emerald Kitten, your voice sounds great! There's nothing at all awful about it. It's nice and smooth and very feminine. I can't imagine guys not loving to listen to you.

Rebecca, such a soft and sweet voice! And boy what a difference between the first and second recording! Phew!!

Ok, I think I've gotten everyone, lol.

Lou thanks for storing all of our voices. This has been so much fun! (though it does seem the ladies like my voice more than the guys... not one comment from a male! :p )

Ok, failing to see how lack of a microphone is a "lame excuse".

Oh, you mean the "mystery" thing. That was more of a tease than serious.

I do think I may surprise some with how Jeff Spicoli-ish I can sound...

"Dude, that was my head...I'm so wasted..."

Thank you, still amazed that I actually posted the second one.

Don't worry sweetie, you have an amazing voice, even if the guys forget to mention it after they get off to it.

I give up...

I've recorded 3 things. Even at low quality and zipped the files are too large.

I tried to e-mail one to Lou. It took 20 mins to upload and bounced for being too large a file.

I'll try again another day.

Og, this is the free software I use....very simple, and the files aren't big at all.

Give it a go.

Working on it.

I will be sending a recording of my voice, as soon as I can figure out how to make a recording of my voice.

I have a Mac, and none of my standard applications seem to allow me to do this.

You'll hear me soon, I promise.

Abby, I very much enjoyed your bit. Called to mind Shakespeare (who else?)

xo's, Perdita

Be not too tame neither, but let your own discretion be your tutor. Suit the action to the word, the word to the action; with this special observance, that you o’erstep not the modesty of nature. - Hamlet, III.ii

Yeah yeah yeah, I've been trying to send my voice file to Mack all day long and it keeps getting bounced. I'm gonna go look and see if I have Loulou's addy and then you'll be for it.

By the way, all the ladies? Roooowwwwrrrr.

(English lady does not have a Northern accent. I've never heard anything so refined.)

Guys? Several statesmen and radio announcers in there. (I'm just really glad Joe didn't give a logic lecture;) )

When you eventually hear it you yankees will realise that not all English accents sound really edumacated.
