When I click on the various links, the file downloads directly to my Real Player and runs. But I don't get an option to save them, and can't seem to find a command on the player to do that either.

Try a right mouse click on the link, followed by "Save Target As"

Yeppers, Impressive's got it in one mate, Save Target As... choose a folder to save it to, desktop's best, you're guaranteed to find it again, and hit save.
