Avatar: Lightning strikes (OOC)

I'd love to do an RP of tPB.

But I have a feeling a few people might threaten to break my keyboard.

Patented Hiccup Cure

Cross your arms over your chest, spin around three times, stick your head between your knees, hold your breath, and count to ten.

works on me every time

Hey, at least you wouldn't keep hiccuping anymore. Could always be worth a try.

Of course, I'm sorta biased since I've wanted to see you bent over and/or with your legs pulled up toward your head for a while now. Nor would I see it in this case either, but a guy can dream his sick little dreams.

Couldn't think of anything to write which wouldn't come off as filler, so I give you....filler. Lots and lots of filler. So much filler that the writers of Lost sent me an email and told me to get to the point. But this was after the people behind Battlestar Galactica called my house and suggested the post would be more interesting if I added lots of shaky cam action to every scene. So, enjoy the filler, people.

Enjoy it! *shakes fist in Zim style*

Mm. That's some good filler!

Also, Smellershot. <3<3<3<3

Debating who's going where, should hopefully have a post up ere long.

(Sorry about the delay, folks. I've been getting my ass kicked by a certain thread over in The ORP. :: big wince! :: )

Pft, you need to get your butt posting in the SRP section more often. It's where all the cool kids hang out, after all.

Besides, Avatar's worlds better then silly ol' Smallville. ;)

And I do find Smellershot an adorable pairing, despite an occasional desire for seeing Smellerbee's line snap as she descends onto the Fire Nation.

I dunno. :: secret grin! :: Smallville has its moments.

The bullets flew for Rose as well and Rose stood there, watching the bullets as they flew towards her, screaming for her blood, and she raised her hand and she made Fire.

She was scared of what would happen if she defied The General and she wasn't afraid of dying but she was afraid, she was so afraid, she was afraid of letting her friends and family and planet down. She was afraid of letting Kara down.

She wouldn't let Kara down. She. Would. Not.

Fire like you wouldn't believe, sizzling the bullets to liquid to cinder to slag to nothing at all before they could even reach her, those dozens of bullets those hundreds, they flew for her and the flame scoured the bullets from the air.

She did this with one hand and her eyes were scorching.

'And in my heart I can't contain it
The anthem won't explain it.'

She raised her other hand aloft.

John arched an eyebrow at her.

"Saw this on TV once,"
Rose growled, even as she poured on the fire. "Wanted to try it."

She was so very tired.

Her throat was burned and her chest was cratered and her t-shirt was ruined and she was soaked with rain.

Every muscle in her body hurt.

And she reached right up and out with her power, her aching splintered power, and lightning crackled, cold lightning crackled on her up-thrust hand.

'A world that sends you reeling from decimated dreams
Your misery and hate will kill us all.
So paint it black and take it back
Let's shout it loud and clear
Defiant to the end we hear the call.'

Her power clawed up at the sky, lightning coursing upwards, flowing and sparking and jagging and zagging...

...and the rain stopped.

Not that rain stopped falling from the clouds, oh, no, certainly not.

But the rain that was falling stopped in mid-air. In defiance of gravity.

Blood trickled from both of Rose's nostrils, and her eye twitched.

'Do or die, you'll never make me
Because the world will never take my heart
Go and try, you'll never break me
We want it all, we wanna play this part
I won't explain or say I'm sorry
I'm unashamed, I'm gonna show my scar
Give a cheer for all the broken'

The raindrops hung in the air and they froze, they froze solid wherever they were, they froze so jagged and sharp and the raindrops that had fallen on the guns, on the exposed weaponry, the gun emplacements, these froze solid too, they froze inside the guns and they froze on top of the guns they turned to ice and jammed the hardware, all those little chinks and cracks into which the rain had seeped, these were full of ice in a matter of seconds and guns mis-fired and guns jammed and guns stopped firing.

"Strewth," John breathed.

Rose shuddered, and shook her head, and ran her tongue over her upper lip and tasted the blood from her nosebleed.

Her knees threatened to give out.

'We'll carry on
We'll carry on
And though you're dead and gone believe me
Your memory will carry on
We'll carry on.'

Raindrops still hanging frozen solid in the air elongated, stretched out, and Rose twisted and turned her lightning-crackled hand...

...the raindrops became icy flechettes, tiny razor-thin daggers, and as Rose groaned with effort she moved that ice in the air...

...tiny icy flechettes hovered at jugular veins and carotid arteries and eyeballs...

...these frightened Chinese soldiers now had something else to be scared of. Something else besides Zod.

Rose grinned softly, madly, deeply. "How do you like that, Double-K? I fought the bad guys for you. How do you like that?"

'Do or die, you'll never make me (We'll carry on)
Because the world will never take my heart (We'll carry on)
Go and try, you'll never break me (We'll carry)
We want it all, we wanna play this part (We'll carry on)'

And at the top of her lungs she shouted to the soldiers, and to Zod, defiant to the end: "'Bai4tuo1, an1jing4 yi1dian3!'"

We will enjoy your silence now!

Ugh, Smallville. As if anyone ever wanted Superman to turn into a teen drama.

D'oh.

:: mumbles :: Once a shipper, always a shipper, I guess. I don't even know the funny abbreviation for Chloe and Clark being together and I know it's a damn lost cause but here I am with my fingers crossed.

Ah, well. :: winks :: Can't please everyone, I serpose.

Pff

Never apologize for your fangasms. Ever.

Besides Superman was a melodrama long before Smallville.

But not a teen drama. Fairly big difference.

Either way, I never particularly cared for Superman in the first place, or any comics, really.
