I searched and searched because I'm sure this has come up before - but I couldn't find it.

Is it because I am still a "virgin" that I don't have an option to change my avatar? If not - then how can I go about doing so?

Hi there and welcome to Lit. You have to have 100 posts before you can put an avatar up.

D people ever read sticky posts? This question has to be one of the most often asked.

Everyone asks about avatars. Think of it as a way to get to your hundredth post that much quicker. A couple questions about avatars, about being a virgin, and you're on your way.

Glynndah that is soooooo funny..

It takes a while for them to figure out what the word and number games are for.

Funny? I was just trying to be helpful. I am the good little witch, you know. *giggles*

No - I'm illiterate.

The sticky posts end up being massive - so it is rather daunting to try to read the entire thing. I learn better by doing.

And as I said - I tried searching for it but the search wasn't getting me answers.

The sticky thread is long, however you only need to read the first post to find out if your answer is there.

There is even one about Lit's (dodgy) search feature. ;)

You people are far too argumentative. Or maybe I'm just tired.

I didn't bother to look at the sticky here because I had given up on stickys before that.

Anyways - I think I'm done with this thread either way.

There's a missing Q in the FAQs:

How do I by-pass a thread that I know will result in me being snarky?

I've answered the AV question a time or two now, it doesn't take a lot of time or effort. I understand people get tired of same questions so my theory is don't open the thread and you won't suffer -- afterall it's a self-inflicted 'pain'.

Also, there are a lot of people that can answer so one doesn't need to feel beholden. I've seen a couple of responses of late that sure seem like the responder is wrapped a bit too tight.

*shrug*

Kirk, your AV must be evil of course.

Welcome to Lit new members. :)

Kirk: Isn't that a Celtic/Gaelic term for a church? I envision a very Gothic cathedral..

Sorry if I was snarky. I didn't mean to be.

I sure could use help with my avatar! I can't figure it out, it still says it's too big and I can barely see it on the screen! Help!

Cate, I couldn't agree more. I am sure I am still considered a "newbie" by many, but I enjoy lurking and reading new threads more than posting. I would enjoy seeing more threads, even if on some of the same topics that have already been covered. It is nice to get a fresh point of view from time to time. :)
