John sat on the couch in a heated game of Battlefield with his long time buddy Matt. As the game ended, John grabbed his beer and took a long draw off of it.

"Thanks bro for letting me stay at your house this summer. I am really trying to save as much money as possible to get ahead for school."

Matt replied with a simple, no problem, which John knew was the truth. Matt's house had really become a second home to John the latter half of high school. His parents were totally cool, super wealthy, and loved being about to help out kids around the neighborhood. Matt and John had been buds since grade school and Matt's parents had all but adopted him when John's own parents split. John's dad had recently landed himself in prison for drug charges and his mom was no where near stable enough to have a teenager around. So, John basically got a room in their house whenever he needed it and a family away from home.

Overall, John had made it out pretty healthy from all of the junk in his home life. Him and Matt were going to graduate next year and they both had fairly good tech jobs lined up afterward. Life was good and this summer would be no different. Video games, bars, cruising for chicks and just generally having fun. Sure, they would both have to work a little bit, but nothing that would get in the way.

Taking another drink of his "Fat Tire", John had to quickly put his bottle back down as Matt fired up another round.

"Shit bro, at least give me a warning...You are going down."

Back sucked into the game, John didn't notice that Matt's younger sister had just gotten home.

Kaylie had grown accustomed early on to her older brother Matt having guys over all the time. Their house seemed to become the hangout for a plethora of teenage boys by the time Matt was 16 or 17. John was one of Matt's best friends and was one of the guys that was always over, no matter the occasion. Kaylie and Matt's parents didn't mind, as they were friendly parents, out of the house most of the time, and were so wealthy that they had staff who worked at their house. If the boys made a mess, it didn't bother them.

It worked out for Kaylie just fine, as she got a little older, she was able to have a little fun teasing the guys, as well as stealing their snacks and beer once in a while. Matt seemed to hate having Kaylie around, but the guys never complained. She often wondered what they talked about when she wasn't there, if they asked about her or commented on her body. She wondered if Matt tried to stop them or just blew it off.

It was a normal Wednesday afternoon after school and Kaylie had just gotten dropped off in front of her house. She saw John's car, so she tiptoed in, up the stairs, and barged into Matt's room. She flipped backwards over the bed, grabbing Matt's beer, taking a long sip from it. "Heeeey bro." she smothered his back with her body, smooching him on the cheek. She laughed as he lost the game to John. He swatted her off of him as he usually did, and she wondered why her older brother seemed to hate her guts so much.

"Damn Kaylie, you fucked up my game." Matt yelled. "God, why do you have to be so annoying? Drinking my beer too? Shit, now I am out. I'm gonna run downstairs and get another one, you want another John?"

"Sure Matt, and lay off yours sis...she just loves her big bro so much she can't help it." They all laughed and Matt left the room to get some more beers.

"Hi Kaylie, how is it going? Just get out of school today? Aren't you almost done with your senior year or something?"

Kaylie has always been way cool to John. She seemed to hang around a lot when he was over, but he guessed that she was like that with all of Matt's friends. He knew her almost like a sister and several years ago when a guy had roughed her up a little bit when she wouldn't sleep with the asshole, Matt and John had kicked the guy's ass so hard it almost landed him in the hospital. John was really protective of the girl and always liked talking with her and hanging out with her, and it never seemed like he had ever taken an up down look at her until that moment. He had just made it down to her breasts when Matt's voice snapped him out of it.

"John, we are out of beer. I am going to run to the store and grab some more booze. Make sure my sis doesn't break anything, k? See you bitches in a bit"

Kaylie shrugged as John tried to make conversation with her. She remembered how he used to act around her when Matt and she didn't fight as much. He used to talk to her a lot more and be way more laid back. But as she grew up, and he and Matt had to beat up some guy she was dating, he had started to back off a lot more.

She knew he must be at least a little bit more conservative he talked to her with Matt around, because it was always just a little awkward and forced, "Yeah," she replied with a smile, swinging her legs down onto the floor, "School went a little long today, 'cause I had practice. Graduating in a couple of months. Super thrilled!" she said, faking excitement.

When Matt left the house to go get beer, she turned to John, "Why's my brother such a dick to me? Did I do something?"

"I don't really know why he is a dick to you. He has never really said anything about he. He has told me that he loves you and wants to see the best for you. Maybe it is that whole big brother teasing thing. I think that is mainly what it is."

"What sport are you in these days Kaylie?"

"So, do you have big plans for tonight? Hot date?"

"I guess that makes sense...he teases me a lot, but sometimes it seems like he's over-protective. He won't let me do anything!" she groaned, "I feel like a baby around him sometimes!!!"

"I play volleyball now, it's super fun. You should come to one of my matches sometime."

She laughed and punched him in the arm, "Nooope! No big plans. I have a lot of homework and I'm worn out from practice. What about you? Fun plans? Girl coming over?" she giggled.

"Well, if he is so overprotective, we will just have to hide some things from him." John pulled out a bottle of skyy vodka from his bag and pulled off the cap. He offered it to Kaylie hoping she would take a swig. "Just our little secret." He winked at her.

"I will have to come check out one of your matches while I am here. You aren't done with them with summer coming up so fast?"

"I think we were just going to play video games and get shitfaced. I don't have a girlfriend right now, even though I know your bro is desperately wanting to see his high school sweetheart, Lacey. She was working today, but I totally know he will ditch me if she calls him. Do you always let your brother protect you so much, or do you hide stuff from him too?"

A few moments later, after the two were hanging out, John's cell phone rang.

"Hello?...Oh hi Matt, what is up?....Oh, you got a call from your girlfriend, I see. You are going to hang out with her tonight?....Oh yea, I can take care of Kaylie and make sure she doesn't get into too much trouble. What time do you think you will be home?....Okay, well I'll see you tomorrow then maybe. Have a good time and say hi to me for her, ok?....Later bro."

John hung up the phone and looked over at Kaylie. "Well, looks like it is just the two of us tonight. Your brother got a call from his girlfriend and they are hanging out tonight. He said he wasn't going to be home until the afternoon tomorrow, so I guess it is just the two of us. I mean, unless you want to invite friends over and whatnot."

"I was probably just going to hang out and get shitfaced, do you want to join me? Have you eaten anything yet? Your brother didn't bring us back the alcohol, so it looked like I have to go get some. Want me to buy anything for you while you get showered up after your volleyball practice?"
