Awwwwwww

Today's critter of the day is a baby racoon. It doesn't look so good though. It crawled its way across my yard in the sun to get under the shade of a spruce tree. I gave it a plate of cat food and a bowl of water under the tree, but it looks fairly done in. to me. Maybe it is too small to beat the heat and humidity?

Drunks and alchoholics live in my backyard.

Have ta shoo them away with beer bottles all the time!

Seriously, we have robins, cats, and other various birds......

I live in Gotham city and there are plenty of things in my back yard I could care less for, but still find fascinating. There are about 10 cats from the adjoining buildings and they seem to gather and then prowl in their little circles. It's almost as if they were gathering for the feast or the hunt. It's almost like seeing a pck of dogs, but they are felines. So, it's much more enjoyable to see them in their finesse as opposed to dogs that piss where the drunks do way down the street, thank goodness!

dog,l(large, black and related to the hound of the baskevilles)(oh yeah and its mine)

Cheyenne, be careful helping that racoon, they can carry rabies. The Humane Society, or Animal Rescue League may be able to give you some advice.

I have a skunk that really likes catfood that keeps coming into my yard. He seems pretty harmless.

Most of it, if daring enough to come into my yard, dies within minutes at the jaws of my murdering dog....

He knows he's a bad dog.... he is at conflict with instinct.

I don't care too much though, as I seem to have some yellow squash that I wouldn't have if the damn rabbits had their way.

I live in Gothem City too!

So far I've see, some bats, some robins, a cat, poison ivy and a penguin.

Well where I live we have deer, coyote, bear, racoon, porcupine, dogs, cats
birds, couple of bald eagles and moose.

Of course there are bats and mice too.

I know, that's why I didn't want to get too close. Just in case.

We have a thunderstorm this afternoon. After that I saw the baby racoon wobble across the yard and head into the woods. I have no idea if it was sick or not, but it was very small to be away from his mom already, I think.

I just had to post a picture of my puppy. He's 5 months old in this picture :) He's such a baby!

I live at the edge of the woods.....

and I have seen a host of animals...

Deer come down to eat the grass.....

Squirrels live in my black walnut tree...

Bobcats come down and eat my dog's food thats left outside

Frogs...

all kinds of insects (eeew)

Rattlesnakes.....Copperheads.....

stupid Park service let out Bears up on the mountain behind me... and they love to eat garbage....

Rabbits.......

Skunks!!

EEEWWW!!! We get sprayed on an almost weekly basis.

A few nights ago, one was RIGHT outside my door attacking my garbage and there wasn't shit I could do about it. I had to let him eat to his heart's content. I think skunks have the best deal in nature. Nobody wants to fuck with them.
