Hey Everybody! Aside for the fact that baby oil would break down a condom is there any other reason why I could not use it as a lubricant? I am thinking about buying a bottle smearing it on my whole body and then making love. Any ideas?

As long as you and your partner is not allergic to it, there should be no reason why not. However it can damage condoms.

Francisco.

The only other thing besides breaking down condoms and the possibility of an alergic reaction that I can think of is that it COULD ruin any sex toys that you might use... Other than that, have fun.

Baby oil will absolutely nuke a condom.. I dont know the science of it, but it has something to do with breaking down the rubber at the molecular level !

Apart from that, the only other bit of common sense I can think of is "are allergic to it" ? If you dont know, try a small area on your forearm, leave it for 24 hours and see what happens... If nothing happens, have fun with the stuff...

My wife & I sometimes oil each other up (or is it down) and spend the night in slippery slidy heaven.... happily we dont need to use condoms any more. It can get a bit messy though, so try not to use the stuff with your best bedding... tis lots of fun.... Enjoy !

:D

Baby oil is mineral oil that has scent added to it. Personally I don't like the scent so mineral oil will do the same thing.

Now I've never tried them with condoms, but baby oil has never had that bad an effect on latex gloves that see extended contact with it. Same thing with vaseline. So, for example I'd have no problem using baby oil with a vibrator that had a condom on it. Now for regular sex with condoms, I've broken so many using water based lubes that I'd be too gunshy to try, especially with the consequences of a broken condom, but for everything else I'd not hesitate. I'd even feel comfortable in saying that latex toys don't seem to have a problem if wiped off soon afterwards, and washed off with soap and water a reasonable time after that, but you make your own choices and take your own responsibility there.

Baby oil and natural Latex are not compatable. Trust me on this one- not a good thing to mix them.

But, if condoms aren't an issue, buy one of those plastic painting tarps to lay over your play area (be it a bed or floor, couch, whereever). Toss an old blanket you won't mind getting stained atop that and have fun.

Be careful not to slide off the bed though- concussions are not fun.

Any type of oil-based lube will break down latex because latex is made with naturally occuring hydrocarbons from rubber trees. So basically it starts to absorb any oil-based product like a sponge and it then starts reverting back to a natural hydrocarbon state.

There are condoms made from materials that won't be affected by baby oil, but I don't recommend them unless you're allergic to latex.

If you wanna have some fun, take a condom and let it soak in Wesson cooking oil over night. The next morning, when you have a three or four foot long condom, let it dry on some towels you don't care about, hang it up on the wall and tell any new girlfriends that you bring home that that's what they have to look forward to.:D

Otherwise, oil-based lubes can permanantly stain certain types of materials, some sheets, certain carpets, some types of clothing, etc. Water based lubes are so much more convenient and even the colored and scented ones won't necassarily stain anything. Plus the water-based lubes are all pretty much hypo-allergenic.

Enjoy:cool:

Butter was the preferred substance in Last Tango In Paris, have fun, hun.

Wow thanks everyone for the great replys! I am not worried about it breaking down condoms we do not use them anymore. Well I am not alergic to Baby oil so now all I have to do is find some time and a plastic sheet. The olive oil idea is good as well, but the butter? just not sure if it would work out. Whats the scene from last tango in paris ? I am looking for some creative ideas I guess

Marlon Brando lubed his lover's butt with a large dollop of butter from a dish. She wasn't too appreciative at first, but everything came out all right in the end.

Funny enough but that sounds kind of erotic! just might try it if I can gather up the courage.
