Try again, but first, go find some of these communities, get to know the people, establish some friendships and see for yourself why they're coming here and just how well they're "integrating" with our society. I have and they are not. Enough of them are simply trying to recreate home, here to make it a problem. They left those places for a reason.

i have to say, the only people i hear bitching are the ones who don't want brown and black people here.
i live in a very poor neighborhood, in the 70's you could actually buy a house for $50. the house i live in i bought for $500. we lost all services in the neighborhood.....stores, schools, churches over the years. the majority of homes were abandoned in the crash.

about 15 years ago, the only catholic church left started attracting african immigrants. in the years since, a large hispanic population has also started attending. the church had been scheduled to be closed, it was down to less than twenty members. it is a hive of activity, now. there are weekly weddings, funerals, festivals, etc. the effect of the influx is that a school (bilingual, english and spanish) has opened in one of the closed schools, another school became a community center, the closed catholic school became a daycare.

the nearest grocery is two neighborhoods away. there is always a large hispanic clientele when i go. i've sat in the lobby and watched the traffic. on the weekends there are always hispanic families shopping, including the fathers. the people are polite, their children are well-behaved and they are affectionate to each other. i also noticed that they always pay with cash. the reason there are so many people on the weekend is because they work the rest of the week.

if you object to them honoring their heritage and not "assimilating", why aren't you bitching about octoberfest being held everywhere with german flags flying? italian festivals? i've even attended greek festivals...why don't they threaten you? a mile from me, over the hill, there is aa district that used to be called "little italy" before the city destroyed it. across the river from me, there is a thriving district called "little italy". why doesn't that bother people like you?

if you have no problem with legal immigration, then why aren't you bitching about the process rather than the people. if the government opened an ellis island on the southern border, there'd be no problem processing. by your logic, preceding waves of immigrants instantly assimilated and fit right in. i'd call that naive but it's just plain stupid. my grandmother spoke german until the day she died and also lost relatives in ww1, fighting on the american side. my friend's grandmother spoke russian until she died. they lost family in ww2, on the american side. they also lost relatives in the holocaust. and in the 50's were victims of anti-semitism. his family on the other side were irish. same scenario. all of them were productive citizens who opened business and rose in income.

the process shouldn't be tough. it should be the same for everyone, even eastern european sluts whose fiances' have enough money to buy them entry on a genius visa and then chain migrate her family here.

Anyway, no, I haven't made any such reports. I live in a "sanctuary" city. One of those family members has been busted by the police several times, at least once with a dangerous weapon on his person, has NO hope of becoming legal for not very interesting reasons and still has not been deported.
