Response to a part of CyberPoets page one listing:
I take exception to a part of your initial post on page one of this thread.
The part I refer to is this one: "If you prefer the company of ill-mannered men, gruff man (shouldn't that be 'men?) of blue collar backgrounds, do not seek Me out."
I, personally, find that intellectual elitist mentality and attitude repugnant and believe that you paint with a very broad and ill informed brush.
Do you also say all orientals are industrious or all blacks lazy? It amounts to the same type of stereotyping.
I come from a ‘blue collar background' and work a blue collar job. Does that make you a superior man or Master. I rather doubt it.
I may lack as much formal education as you have, but I suspect I have a great deal more life experience than you and I've managed to educate myself quite well, even though I attended but didn't graduate from the "hallowed halls of ivy" and don't have a "sheepskin" to hang on my wall.
I do have is two and a half tours of duty in Viet Nam in the US Army Special Forces. I do have a diploma from a police academy and graduated high in my class both academically and otherwise. I have lived my chosen Lifestyle for over 25 years. I have written several Lifestyle oriented books and one is about to be e-published. Not to bad for a "gruff man of blue collar backgrounds" is it?
