I must not be zipping them properly. Anyone know how best to zip quicktime .mov files using Zipit (for Macs)?

Has anyone managed to open any of these successfully?

Hi Darlin'...I too couldn't get any of them to be recognized by quicktime...and I'm running the latest version...Hope you figure out why...I'll keep checking on my end...

Apparently that's fairly normal. Vid files don't get compressed very much when they're zipped. Unfortunately I'm having to zip them purely 'cause that's the only file extension the board'll recognize.

Oh. that's worrying! It's a Mac that I use too and I can get them to work fine. What version of Quicktime are you using? When it unzips does it look like a normal quicktime .mov file?

Could you do me a favour Y try playing one of the vid clips from here & let me know if those work. That way I can hone in on whether the problem's with the zips or the original quicktime files. It'll probably take a little while to download if you don't have broadband.

cant get them to play either and the website comes up with this dodgey porn link. apparently there is a codec needed for the files but I dunno how to get it.

Mine worked!!!!!

I opened them with Powerdesk 6 and they worked just fine. Very nice by the way
Vids are clear, but audio is either not there or just static. Still nice to see.

You could always try uploading another site, because i know i can't access the site because keeps timing out.

You might want to try a program called HJsplit. It can take a movie and split it up for you and then all people need to do is use HJsplit again to put it all back together into one movie.
