I just can't enjoy IPAs. I've been told that not all are the same which I understand. But the happiness tastes piney to me. I wonder if it's like the cilantro issue?

You might like a Double Dry Hopped or a NE style IPA. More fruity than piney

I am all for trying and enjoying micro IPA's from around the country and love some that you have posted. My biggest bitch is the price. While I agree that quality trumps quantity, my quest is to find the happy medium of big taste and reasonable price which usually means breweries that are a step larger then a micro. Two that I enjoy:

Free Flow IPA, Otter Creek
Finestkind IPA, Smutty Nose

I'm big on IPA's. Space Dust is probably my favorite.
Elysian out of Seattle. 8.2 ABV which can really put a hurting on you if you're not paying attention.

Gumballhead by Three Floyds out of Munster, IN is also excellent.
It's a wheat ale. 5.5 ABV.

Three Floyds also makes one called Space Station Middle Finger which not only has a great name and label but is excellent IMO.
It's an APA with 6 ABV.

I have never made an IPA but want to try. However I'm a novice having only made from premade wort and such. Makes me nervous to try from scratch.

Last evening, I didn't feel like cooking so I stopped off at Midnight Sun Brewing and had a bowl of spicy pork soup and a glass of Sloth. I also picked up a bottle of Grand Crew Brew for the cellar, at 14% is should age very well.

Sand City collab with Other Half - Infinity plus Everything- 8.5%

Other Half is so good. So is Sand City. Put the two together, no brainer. Delicious.

Top 10 in country for 2016. Take with a grain of salt though with Trillium over Tree House.

Other Half - DDH Mylar Daydream - 8.8% - Fucking delicious. Mylar series is so good.

I haven't had enought Belgians lately. I just had Delirium Tremens, which was nice. I have a Westmalle Tripel in my refrigerator. The curent one I enjoy the most from my fridge right now is Sip of Sunshine.
